WAYMART -- Do you want to "learn by doing"? Then Keystone
Boys State is just for you.
American Legion Post 889 Waymart is looking for a high school
junior in the Western Wayne School District to take part in Keystone
Boys State -- a week long program to develop leadership skills
where the participants learn by doing.
At Keystone Boys State participants are exposed to the rights
and privileges, the duties and the responsibilities of a franchised
citizen. The training is objective and practical. And you will
"learn by doing" with city, county and state governments
operated by the students elected to the various offices. Activities
include legislative sessions, court proceedings, law enforcement
presentations, assemblies, bands, chorus and recreational programs.
Two participants from Keystone Boys State are selected to go to
Boys Nation in Washington with participants from across the country.
Keystone Boys State will be held June 22-28 at Shippensburg Univeristy,
Shippensburg.

in High School this year and think you have the outstanding qualities
of leadership, character, scholarship, loyalty and service to
your schools and community then send the Waymart Post 889 a letter
