**** UPDATE 2002 **** **From this page on, I'll put newer updates on top of the older ones.. ________________________________________________________________ Mon 5-6-02 Well, I didn't even upload the last update and it's May. Things have been quite hectic and difficult.. and still are.. I have been rather healthy, but my friend found out that he has small cell lung cancer. And my husband and I have been doing as much as possible to help him.. At one point, I was cooking every meal for him, but now he is in a hospital. If anybody is interested, here is the copy of my posts at yahoo group " Friends for Health Naturally " - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FriendsForHealthNaturally/ _______________________ 5-2-02 Hi everybody, Here is some update on my friend.. After I sent in my last post, his backache got really bad and after he had MRI, he could not sit up by himself. MRI found the tumor on his spine and the doctor said he'd be paralyzed without radiation and my friend was taken to the hospital by ambulance. He had radiation on his back and chest and the next day, he was moved to Intensive Care Unit. He could not breathe without 100 oxygen mask and we had to call his relatives and everything. To make long story short, he was moved to regular hospital room yesterday ( out of ICU ) and the doctor is talking about him getting out of the hospital Monday or so. He is still weak and we cannot yet feel sure about how he is going to do at this point, but at least he is not suffering greatly right now. With all the stuff they put in his body, it is amazing that he is doing okay (even has some appetite!). I don't mean to upset anybody here, but he has been getting radiation everyday, a set of chemo, morphine / every hour, and countless other drugs. I'd think even a healthy person could get sick from so much stuff... And of course the food they serve - they ignored our request for non-dairy diet ( believe me I ask every time I go there ) and what bothered me most was that they put even hot soup in styroform cups.......... I guess they've never heard of Styrene - the carcinogen and/or they don't think it'll leach into food. I have many things that I felt "questionable" about the hospital and the doctor, but I cannot write all about them now...( because life is simply a bit hectic at the moment and with my own health concern - I have endo, IBS and hypoglycemia though all under control - I can't afford losing any more sleep etc..) To Marianne, Thank you for your warm message.I've heard about Reiki though I didn't know much about it. I did a little research and found the word is Japanese as I suspected (and the people who started ? ).I'm from Japan and I also got to read some info in Japanese and it was very interesting. Thanks again for caring ! To Robin, >I am wondering, what form of treatment does your friend want? After >all, I do believe it is his choice, not the judges!!!! While I >don't believe in chemo or any other drugs, I do believe it's an >individual choice. Sorry I didn't reply earlier and he already got chemo and radiation, but I totally agree that it is individual choice. Though,in his case, court does not think he is capable of making important choices - for instance, He cannot marry anybody unless the judge permits.. Thank you always for your support! To Francie, Thank you very much for info and for caring. Right now we can't give him any supplements etc, but your info is much appreciated. To JoAnn, Daily Detox (contains Mayapple) by Gaia Herb is not tea, but capsules. I ordered them from iHerb.com. Thank you so much for all the info and caring ! And to everybody who has thought about my friend, thank you very much! I'm sorry if I missed somebody.. (Please feel free to let me know that I did!) I'll try to update, but I will be offline for the rest of May and it'll have to be done in June. I will also close the guestbook till June as well. Please take care !! ________________________________________________________________ Wed 3-13-02 Again, "time flies!"... Well I'm doing much better than this January. I had some cold or flu-like symptoms - achy body and diarrhea - in January and they lasted for a while. Cramps during periods, too. My husband suggested that maybe I stopped taking too many supplements at the same time. So I started taking Noni juice and also started using natural progesterone cream again. And gradually, I got better.. I still don't know if I actually had a bad flu or I just wasn't ready to stop taking those supplements or maybe both..? Anyway I'm feeling quite good these days, thank you.
