Factual errors: In Episode #1.5, "Our Mrs. Reynolds", Jayne says that his gun (which we know as "Vera" from earlier in the episode) needs oxygen around it to fire. The gun is shown with standard projectile rounds which produce all the oxygen they need. The producers were not sure if "Vera" would need oxygen to fire. So they asked a gun expert, who gave them the wrong information, according to commentary on the DVDs. |

Revealing mistakes: In "Jaynestown" the tape Jayne has wrapped around himself in the infirmary clearly shows the tearaway panel the actor uses to rip the tape off. |

Miscellaneous: In "Trash", while Kaylee and Jayne are working on the dumpster's control panel right before Jayne gets electrocuted, you can plainly see that the screen on the control panel is a screen shot of a Windows 2000 Desktop, complete with Start bar. The window that is up appears to be the Add New Hardware window. |

Continuity: The leather rope necklace that Zoe wears is a symbol of her commitment to Wash (like a wedding ring) but in the flashback scene in episode #1.7, "Out of Gas", where Zoe and Wash first meet, she is wearing the necklace. |
