Another Special Day

My prayers go out to the Reggie Lisowski family, who lost Faye this past week. They had been married for 55 years.

Also please send along an extra prayer to the Destroyer, who is undergoing a hip replacement on March 17th.--
Percival

March 11, 2003 will live in my memory banks forever. That is the day I was given a grandchild for the first time. I had anticipated the birth for a few months and was waiting with much anticipation.

Keelie Mildred Minnick was brought into this world today at 2:35 in the afternoon. The 7 pound 9 ounce, 19 3/4" blue-eyed love of my life will be the focal point of a lot of my speeches I give. She will be carried to each event I go to by way of a picture kept close to my heart.

Her facial features are much like that of her mother, Teri, and her father, Steve. More than likely, I will have a hand in spoiling her to the maximum but will have to take a backseat to Nancy.

Teri and Steve had just moved into their new home in Lynchburg last year after Steve was promoted into a new career in the chemical field that he trained for in college. Their home is fenced in and features many rooms for the baby to play in and a full finished basement.

They have a wonderful amount of neighbors that have been very supportive of Steve and Teri since they moved in. At Christmas this past year, some even sent over plates full of Christmas candies and cookies they had hand made.

Virginia is a beautiful state, and I hope to retire there soon to be closer to my granddaughter. I expect to have her on the mat in a few months and then try and teach her the game of golf so that she can compete with her dad.

If I had known that being a grandparent was so much fun, I would have done it a lot of years ago instead of just raising my daughter Teri.
