The second set of behaviors: Aggressing and Manipulating
The second set of behaviors is often represented in gendered terms.  Aggression is stereotypically a male trait while manipulation is often portrayed as a female trait.  Of course not all males are "aggressing," no more than all females are "manipulative."  However, the further development of this behavioral pull will pursue gendered distinctions.

Aggression will be defined in wide terms.  It may be emotional, physical, or conceptual.   The common feature of aggression will be the use of force against others to directly further one's own self interests.  The aggressor himself assumes the risk of his venture.
Manipulation may be considered the behavioral oppositie of aggression because the aggressor employs himself to achieve his gains while the manipulator employs the other for that purpose.  The manipulator puts out the least risk and the least effort in order to achieve the greatest return, whereas the aggressor puts out considerable risk with great effort to achieve his return.  From the aggressor's point of view, the smaller and weaker the target, the better.  From the manipulator's standpoint, the bigger and more powerful the victim, the better.  The powerful individual is capable of providing the manipulator much more than the weak.
Someone explain to me why we're really doing this??
