Mannerism: Ayame will place both hands on hir hips and jut her waist out to the side when she is irritated or bored. Having a hard time picturing this? You shouldn't, it's the eternal Daphne pose from Scooby Doo. =P

Dislikes: Having a keen sense of smell, Ayame has an immediate distaste for anything that smells less than immaculate. She also dislikes American foods.
Personality: Ayame is a trial- you're either on one side of the coin with her, or the other. If you're lucky enough to fall onto the side that comes into her favor, you'll find that Ayame is a funny, witty, and friendly young woman with a dry sense of humor and a tongue in cheek attitutde. However, more often than not people find themselves confronted with Ayame's darker face. Ayame, when crossed, is rude, snide, and vicious; the girl has mastered the art of language to such an art that with just a few well placed words she can send someone into a depression for weeks. However, both sides of the coin hve to deal with Ayame's constant need for money, which often leads to Ayame's habit of light-hearted blackmail.
Brief History: More than anyone in the world, Ayame loves her younger brother, Kaiyu. Growing up, neither Ayame or her brother had a very safe environment. Their mother died when Ayame was 6, and the streets of Osaka at night were a dangerous place indeed. But young Ayame had a dream to cling to. As a child, she would pass by television screens in shop windows that played footage of beautiful young pop idols. Entranced by their beauty, Ayame secretly promised herself that one day she would leave Osaka and appear on those same television screens, inspiring more and more girls to follow their dreams out of the squalor in which they lived.One night, Ayame's very- and I stress ~very~ -drunken father stumbled in on fourteen year-old Kaiyu and another young man, who were in the act of being somewhat intimate. Enraged, Ayame and Kaiyu's father grabbed the nearest object- a piggy bank- and began attacking Kaiyu, bludgeoning him about the head. It was Ayame who came to the rescue; Kaiyu's friend had quickly slipped out the window. Grabbing a Vase from the hall, Ayame clonked her father and she and her wounded brother were out of the house faster than greased pigs.Kaiyu required surgery that night; Ayame is still in debt. The two moved away from Tokyo, and away from their father, whom they have not seen for three years. Ayame and Kaiyu are quite different from eachther- Ayame grew open and expressive, hooking a job at a Beauty Parlor and a Tokyo accent. She had dropped out of school a year before to deal with her father's
drinking problem. Kaiyu, on the other hand, grew quiet and sullen. He resumed attending High School, and still speaks with a thick Osaka-ben accent.
Ayame still clings to that dream of hers, no matter how far off it seems. She can only hope for a lucky chance that one day, through some freak accident, her dream will come true.
Persona Description: Melpomene appears as a raven-haired woman in a long-sleeved blouse and skirt, with a repeating pattern of Harlequin's Diamonds. She wears the Greek mask of tragedy, forever giving Melpomene a terrible, mournful appearance. She carries a prop sword in one hand, a prop club in the other.
