Clothing: Kai wears the Graystone Junior uniform trimmed with light blue. He wears the collar unbuttoned and the jacket is a little big for him. His pants are loose around his thin legs, and he wears a gray beanie that keeps his hair out of his face. He wears black plastic beads on a string around his neck- these are more for sentimental value than anything else.

Mannerism: Kai has a habit of pulling his beanie over his eyes when frustrated, frightened, or bored. Since this is an obsessive-compulsive act, Kai doesn't notice what he's doing until the hat's all the way over his eyes.

Personality: Kai is a very kind, shy boy. He has a playful, innocent charm about him, a good sense of humor, and a warm and inviting personality. Though shy and a little intimidated by others, Kai is polite, open and
friendly, a contrast to his sister's selective personality, When Unhappy, Kai can grow sullen, bitter, and spiteful. He is easily depressed. He's intelligent, though he can be a little dense.
Brief History:
Kai grew up an ill and sickly child in Osaka. His mother passed away shortly after he was born, and Kai's father was an ill-tempered drunk who rarely paid any attention to his children. Kai's older sister, Ayame, did a great deal of raising her younger brother by herself. At age two, Kai was diagnosed with Anemia. Kai had very few friends and did not attend school for the first few years of his life. . When Kai did begin attending school, he was ostracized- he couldn't play well with the other children, he couldn't partake in sports or other physical activities. Life for young Kai would have been very lonely indeed if not for his sister. In fact, Kai knows very well that he may not be alive today if it were not for Ayame. When Kai's very drunk father walked in on him and an older
classmate having an intimate moment, it was Ayame who kept their father from seriously harming her brother. The two ran away to Tokyo, where they share a small apartment. Kai seems to be doing better with his illness, and is much more active than he had previously been. He attends Greystone academy and works at a karate dojo as a janitor. The sensei at the dojo, knowing of Kai's illness, taught the boy basic stick-fighting in hopes to boost the boy's level of health. All in all, things look bright for young Kai, but one knows very well what can lurk in the deepest chambers of the heart...
