Clothing: He is SUPPOSED to wear the Greystone High sophomore boy’s uniform, but... well, that’s Kyorei ^_^;; He cut his uniform shirt so his stomach shows. Also, there are safety pins and spikes in some places, as well as a chain around his waist.
Description: Thin, a bit short, his skin is pale but he has many scars, and some tattoos. The one that shows more often is the butterfly on his neck. Some say it shines... and moves... Kyorei never confirmed or denied that. Also, he wears makeup, especially lipstick because he loves his soft full lips. All in all, no one would have difficulty believing he’s a flat chested girl and not a boy.
School: Greystone
Weapon: If needed, he’ll use the chain that’s always around his waist, but he doesn’t like to fight.
Mannerism: lick his lips, blink cutely
Likes: Performing at lives, more than anything. Consensual violence. Writing lyrics. Playing with his pet scorpions, Miura, Zero and Toshiya. Reading shoujo manga, the more romantic the better. Working out to keep himself hot.
Dislikes: Pop music. Non-consensual violence. Happy endings. Eating, cause he’s always worried about his shape. Ah, and SCHOOL! He hates school!
Personality: He’s stormy, and changes his mood as easily as he changes his makeup. Most of the time he’s the bouncy, thrashy sadomasochistic fiend who scares people and has the ultimate fun while doing it. Other times he can be mournful and depressive, fragile as crystal for no apparent reason. There are maybe two things that keep constant, whatever mood he’s in. He has a twisted sense of beauty, and a BIG problem with authority.
Because he dwells the verge of insanity, Kyorei is VERY naive. Maybe a good metaphor for his behavior would be... hm... Alice in Wonderland. Innocent kid lost in a strange world and whatnot. Talk about innocence, Kyorei is completely incapable of being mean to anyone. That’s not to say he’s always smiling and birds eat from his hand and flowers bloom where he passes... that’s just to say he can’t understand the concept of evil. Of course, he can’t most of the time tell right from wrong, so if you’re going to be his friend prepare for at least some scratches. But that’s not to say he’s bad. In his own way, he’s caring and respectful to everyone who doesn’t give him a reason to act otherwise.
Brief History:
Keiichi was lucky enough to be born in a rich family. And unlucky enough to be born in a conservative one. He was a rebel from the start, and his parents had a hard time standing, so that he spent most of his childhood in bouncing from boarding school to boarding school, as he had serious problems behaving according to any school’s rules.
It was about the age of seven that he first watched a J Rock video. He instantly fell in love. The visual, the sound, the insanity... the screaming, drooling fangirls... and at this tender age he was already dreaming of becoming a J Rocker someday.
He led a pretty uneventful life until he turned 12. At this age, having been thrown out of so many schools he had lost count, Keiichi was told to go back home because his parents had been murdered.
He went there in full Visual Kei, which made his family members more than angry. His grandmother had a beginning of heart attack right then and there, in front of her son’s ashes...
His uncles unanimously made a point not to let him have any of his parents’ fortune, but in fact the boy didn’t give half a damn about it. He went to live in a single aunt’s house and was sent to public school.
And so it went until he entered Greystone High at the age of 14.
At first, it was just another school for him. Until he discovered they had a J Rock club there. This changed a lot. He had found people who shared his rebellion... and more than that, his passion.
Since the club members were seen as weirdos and shunned by most everyone, he never had many friends anyway. Of course he didn’t care, cause what use are cute little schoolkid friends that behave nicely and have nothing in common with him?
It was Keiichi’s idea to start a band. He adopted the name Kyorei and became the vocalist. The other members of the J Rock club, found it a good idea and the ones who could play an instrument joined Kyorei and founded the band, Submisive (yes, just one s)
The first weeks... alright, months... were hard as hell, but they managed to work things out, and Submisive is now a quite successful indies band. And Kyorei is now able to live alone and free like he always wanted, since he can now live off music.
His Persona first manifested during a live. In the middle of a song, a girl invaded the stage with knives in her hands and a raging fire in her eyes. He had his forearms stabbed before he could even think about reacting. As he moaned in pain, Mania’s figure appeared besides him, chains flowing from her to wrap around the insane girl. In an electricity flash, Mania disappeared and the girl lay dead on the stage. The live was interrupted, and only Submisive and two other girls stayed there afterwards. According to them, their friend had been depressed for three months because she had been rejected by Kyorei. He had no idea what they were talking about. All he knew was that he had power beyond his imagination... and he had just caused someone’s death. Even now, more than a year later, Kyorei still blames himself for it.
Persona Description: Although female in nature, Mania has an androgynous appearance. Any traits that could identify her as female, like breasts or large hips are completely non-existent in her body. She’s covered in tight purple leather strips, leaving much of her porcelain white skin showing, and bound by chains through which electricity flows endlessly. Her eyes are completely black, and sometimes shine through a purple triangular visor that’s attached with screws to her face. Her lips are tainted purple, and very thin. She has long point ears, with three earrings on her left one and just one, bigger ring on her right. Her hair is purple with irregular black streaks, and held together in a ponytail on top of her head. In some parts of her body, instead of flesh, she has some sort of mechanical devices, with gears and cable moving in some sort of insane rhythm. Her right shoulder is protected by a black, shiny pad from which small spikes protrude. Her fingernails are very long, and have a metallic shine. On her feet, she wears black shoes with metal pin heels. Always following her is a floating, barbed metal wheel. It spins gradually faster as Kyorei, and consequently Mania, get more excited.
Strengths: Strong against Mind (cause Mania is too insane to be affected ^_~) and Lightning
Weaknesses: Weak against Holy and Earth
Magic:
Binding insanity - The chains that bind Mania detach from her body and snake towards Kyorei’s intended target, usually snaring around limbs or the victim’s neck. With a moan, Mania calls a lightning bolt from her body through the chain. While not impressively damaging, it can leave a target stunned, and scare whoever is near.
