PREPARATION: |
Matching object with picture. |
MATERIALS: |
Five cards each having stamped chicks respectively fron 1 to 5. |
Container with 15 miniature chenille chicks to be matched on cards. Tray to hold the work. |
PRESENTATION: |
1. Invite the child. 2. Take the work to the table/rug. 3. Place the cards in a sequence top to bottom or left to right. 4. Ask the child if he can match the chicks to the picture. 5. Do a 3-period lesson for numbers using the cards and the matching objects. 6. Ask the child to repeat the matching by naming the numbers. 7. Ask him to match randomly different numbers of chickens on cards. |

1. Introduction to quantity and names of numbers. 2. Show relationship sequential. 3. One-to-one correspondence in math. |
