This is the hatchery of our chicks.
A candling lamp is flashing to keep
the temperature at about 99 degrees F.
We check marked the eggs as we will
have to turn them over twice a day during the first
17 days of hatching. 21 days later the hatchlings are on the way. Listen
carefully!
We can hear them pecking. Now let’s
watch the arrival of our baby chicks.
Hi, I am a hatchling. My pals are so
happy!
Another pal… I am a chick of the breed
“Naked Neck”.
I have already lots of energy.
We have been here for 2 days now. We
spend our day sleeping, pecking, drinking water and scraping the dirt.
One year later. We grew up. We are now in the chicken coop.
It’s our turn to become Moms. No more hatchery.
Aren’t they lovely my chicks?
Cock-a-doodle-doo !!!
