Welcome to the web site of the HAGG*R One Name Study, which is being co-ordinated by Peter Hagger.  It was started towards the end of 2003 after Peter and Martin Hagger attended a seminar organised by the Guild of One Name Studies.  The study is registered with the Guild of One Name Studies and the names registered with the Guild are Haggar and Hagger.  However, we are also collecting information on a number of variants including:

Haga, Hagar, Hager, Haggar, Haggarjudd, Haggaer, Hagger, Haggers, Haggerwood, Haggor.

The data already collected is detailed on the Data Available Page and our future data collection plans are shown on our Study Plans Page.

On the site you will also find pages about people, both those researching the Hagg*r name and another about our Hagg*r ancestors.

There is also a page where we give what information we have on the origins of the Hagg*r name.

We are happy to carry out a search of the data we have collated and this can be done via an email request.  We would also like to receive any Hagg*r data you have already collected, see our Study Plans Page.
