players don't even castle at all. Castle is very good for king's defense. King can hide behind three pawns and a rook. The rook protects attacks from queen or rook on side. Castle is good for defense.
However castle can be broken with sharp attacks and sacrifice. Usually it takes some time to attack a caslte and
the defender has enough time to think about other pieces on the board.
