| I was the Grand Prize Winner in a contest I entered as a joke. Pete was the only artist I wanted to meet in this big radio-sponsored stadium concert last week, but I ended up winning and having the chance to meet all 8 bands that were performing. I had no idea who some of them were, but it was cool anyway. I kind of felt like a jerk because I knew so many kids wanted to meet all the other bands, but I was very excited to meet Mr. Yorn. In talking with Pete, brief as it was, he came across as a very sweet, charming, down to earth guy and all that, as did Luke and Waz. They seemed like guys I would be good friends with if our paths ever crossed in a different setting. I held it together pretty well, but when I told Pete about a show that was going on afterwards--in the heat of the moment got my facts mixed up and ended up blushing and feeling dumb. Hopefully he just thought it was cute... At any rate, I'm so glad I got the chance to meet all the boys--I just hope I have a chance to redeem myself in the future... |
