NO PRISON IN CHRISTMAS
It's already hard to be behind bars on any given day
But when Christmas comes 'round
a prisoner is bound to feel even further away
The usual gathering of family and friends
will not include you this year
No shopping for gifts or chopping of trees
or raising a glass for cheers

Christmas - a time of tradition
of carols and ribbons and toys
But when you find yourself in prison
You may find it hard to rejoice
So let me remind you of something you have
that no one can take away
No bars or walls or shatterproof glass can ever separate

A gift of love from Heaven came down in its purest form
A redeemer for you and all mankind
An innocent babe newly born
He grew on Earth and dwelled among us
so that we could touch
Remembering Him through stories shared
of how He loves us so much

Any time you wish to speak, His ear is there for you
And when you give your ear to Him
A message will come through
His comfort is yours for the asking
Forgiveness and peace of mind
He is not bound by visiting hours, nor by any rules confined

For there is no prison in Christmas
To worship Him you're free
That's how there is Christmas in prison
It's the greatest gift you'll receive
