Something
to
Hold On To
No matter which path you choose to take
Some obstacle will eventually get in your way
You can whine and complain, or sit there and mope
or find a solution of hope

When your goal lies just beyond your grasp
Reach for a lifeline and hold on fast
If you lose your footing on a slippery slope
Grab on to the rope that is hope

Some things are just beyond your control
Your patience is tested, your faith may turn cold
Whatever you face, it's easier to cope
with the optimism of hope

The road behind may be littered with regret
Or painful memories too deep to forget
But for wishes that have not come true yet
You can visualize them with hope
