Chomps Page

My Trachemys Scripta Elegans/Emolli

Chomps is most likely a male slider, growing so much slower than Myrtle. Chomps is around 4.5" long as of 07/18/99, and was born some time around May of '98. I got Chomps from Solona Serpentarium in Florida, and he was shipped here in September of '98. Chomps was approximately the size of a half dollar when he arrived here. He is my shyest turtle of the two, but is beginning to love his food, and even begging for it. Chomps is a unique type of turtle, an intergrade, which is a mix between a species, but in the same family, e.g. Trachemys Scripta. Chomps is half Nicaraguan Slider and half Red Eared Slider. Chomps is a very religious basker, always basking, until I enter the room, and he's off faster than lightening. Here are the pictures!
