When I got Misa I thought I was not going to be able to handle her.  She was very hyper.  I had to rehouse break her.  And, she was very destructive.  Then one day something changed all that.  I was taking Misa for a ride in my Jeep.  She loves going for car rides.  She was always good about jumping up in the Jeep.  Except this time she slipped.  She had a little cut on the inside of her rear leg at the ankle bone.  She would not walk on it at all.  I called the vet and they said, if she was not walking on it the next day, to bring her in.  I prayed that she would.  But, the next morning she still was not walking on it.  I took her to the vet at 8:00 am and before I knew it, she was in the surgery room.  She had torn her tendon.  The vet said she had a 50 50 chance she would walk on her leg again after surgery.  Days, weeks, and months went by and Misa was still not walking on her leg.  I decided to get a second opinion.  This vet had suggested that she not walk at all for 3 months except to and go outside.  This was the hardest!  I kept her kenneled for almost 4 months.  Then she started to recover.  She was walking on her leg but she wouldn't stand still on it.  At this time was when I received the call from my friend about Maggie.  Ever since we got Maggie, Misa has not lifted that floor off the ground.  I always say that all she needed was a friend.  So now I have accomplished the house breaking because Misa was kenneled for so long.  She doesn't have the temperament she had before.  But now we have Maggie......
