WELCOME BACH CHOY'S PEKINGESE

Owned and Loved by Marge and Bob Dorsey, Knoxville, Tennessee Phone # 865.577.7221

This is my first Pekingese "Betty" she was a birthday present from my Daddy. Betty lived to be an old girl... she was always my very best friend, knew all my secrets, all my dreams.

MARGE HAS BEEN OWNED BY A PEKINGESE EVER SINCE SHE WAS A LITTLE GIRL Bob and Marge have had pekes all of their married life, so Bob has come to love and appreciate them as much as Marge does. We are trying to bred to the Breed Standard and for Show Quality, but NOTHING GIVES MORE PLEASURE than to place or sell one of our babies into a loving family where they become a part of that family FOREVER.
We enjoying showing our Pekes, we raise from 1 to 3 litters a year, our puppies are very special to us and we are very careful in placing our puppies, as we consider a pet a life time commitment. We have three boys and seven girls at present..... Three of which are beautiful puppy girls, and one, an adult rescue, she's cute as a button, so grateful and very will mannered. Our boys are Championed, we are very proud of each one of our pekingese, all different , all wonderful, all unique in their own way.

Yes, we have had Poodles to love from time to time as well. The one pictured with Bachi is our Muffy, my little friend and companion.

Only after Marge retired did we get to raise our own Peke babies(about 10 years ago). Starting with "BACHI" as the sire we looked for the best female we could afford, one that had some of his lines(we were told we should try to line breed) but they didn’t say on which lines, and we didn't know much about pedigrees at that time.

Annie came to us by plane from SuKai Kennels in Oklahoma, and she was the most beautiful Pekingese we had ever seen. Blonde with lovely large lustrous eyes, enough coat for two Pekes and black tipped ears that stood out and looked like BUTTERFLY WINGS. She was groomed impeccably and the long plane ride hadn't messed up a hair. Our foundation bitch had arrived! She was lovely, turned out to be very healthy. Annie free whelped, had good bone and conformation, as we look back now we realize we were very fortunate, as novices, to be offered two good sound foundation bitches.

Our second girl came from Lakshmi Kennels "Lena" is a love and all we could ask for in a Pekingese, "A typical" in manner and disposition, lovely deep red girl, ready for any challenge. Both were retired after having two litters, they are living close by in wonderful loving companion homes. LENA, ANNIE and BUCKY are the back bone of our kennel today and we will always love and remember them as our SPECIAL GIRLS and OUR VERY SPECIAL "LOVE".

Now, we had "our foundation bitch" so we went on "a hunt" for a good Champion male in our area to bred her with.... We did that,(Ch.Jen Su Tobi Zhang Zhi) and from them we got our first show potential litter..

....all named for Butterflies, as "Madam Butterfly" was Annie's registered name.
We added "Bach Choy" as our Kennel name (for our beloved pet Chinese Bach Choy or "Bachi") and we were off to the show ring
"bitten by the bug".
Smoky and Bucky became our show boys, but Smoky would rather stay home, Bucky liked the show ring and we learned a lot showing him.....
HE WAS "OUR LOVE"!!
Bucky sired our first homebred champion "Ch. Bach Choy’s Bucko by Bucky"
