A Little About Me This webpage had been created on Tuesday, December 29th, 1998 during my winter vacation. I had turned 13 years old a few months previous, and I was still fairly new to html. Basically (if you hadn't visited the website during that year) the site went under rapid change. I went from knowing barely any html to doing dynamic html in about 6 months. I want to be a graphic designer during my career field when I graduate, so I consider this website exellent experience. I have a few other websites too... It was some time before I last updated. Well, I'll never wait that long again. There was so much work to be done. I want to thank everyone for their support of this website, during the good and bad times. I can hardly believe that it will be celebrating it's 4th anniversary next December! I have to thank my cat for blossoming my interest in felines. If he had not come along, this website would not exist and I would not be who I am today... Anyway I promise to never let a year go by without updates again! That was awful!:) Return visitors might be pleased to see I've added a few things here and there... And for the new visitors, you weren't missing much! June 10th 2001- Note: The Best Site on the Web Award will not be available June, July and August due to my absence during summer vacation. I will resume giving out the award come September. :) Have a great summer everyone! May 5th 2001- Check out the January - April winners of The Best Site on the Web Awards at the Winner's List. I need some applicants for the May award, if anyone is interested, you can apply on that very page. Sometime within the next month or two I am hoping to set up a graphics section within The Virtual Cat Emporium. A couple people have requested one and I don't mind the idea at all. :) If anyone has any ideas, I will welcome them all. Jan. 20th, 2001- Sigh. As I have yet to accept the fact that Christmas is indeed over, I have tackled the job of switching all the Xmas graphics and buttons back to the regular. You might have noticed already that many backgrounds and graphics look different, and that is because I have started creating my own. Soon I would like all my pages to independantly have their own backgrounds and buttons. Photos of Figus are now available on Figus' page. Although they are not quite his best angles and positions, (he looks fat!!!!) I think they describe his personality well anyway. :) Dec. 23rd, 2000- As I am now on Holidays from school, I have had time to create A New Award. This award is available to any website, not just ones about pets. This I must say is my best award yet! Take a look at it and please apply for it! I will be giving it out on the first of every month. Only one website may win it a month, unless, of course there is a tie and I am sure there will be some as there are so many great websites out there! Dec. 8th, 2000- Today I completely updated the site! The spirit of the holidays can be found over most of this website. The text is aligned and easier to read, colors and graphics changed, and some pages have been removed for their purpose is not necissary. Those include: The Message Board. A new, better one will be added soon. The mailing list. I had only a couple subscribers. The Canadian Cat Club is now gone... I've realized how many few Canadians there are on the internet for we have not yet revolutionized they way the rest of the world has. The surveys page. This was not in very good condition and rarely got hits. The webrings have been moved to simply one page Webrings to avoid confusion. Nov. 9th, 2000- I'm very sorry, for lately I have not been updating this website at all. See, now I am in High school, I have much less time on my hands. I am proud to say that this website has recieved over 1000 hits! This is great! Thank you to anyone who made it possible. I just have one more thing to say now, and that is ANYONE out of perhaps the 20 -something people who has sent an award appeal to me since the summer, it is not that I am ignoring you by not replying but my graphics server has been down and I have been unable to customize an award for you. Now that it is up again, you will be recieving your awards shortly. Thanks! This site now has awesome backrounds and music on EVERY Page! keep your sound system turned on!
