Here's my latest project.  It's a 24" remote controlled 1949 Chris Craft Utility boat.  It's all hand construstructed from flat, straight pieces of wood. The frame is mostly spruce and all the outer planking is mohagony.  I started this project on  Sept 11th and I have about 60 hours in it (not including waiting for laquer to dry time).  It's a kit that comes with a lot of the subframe already cut and a book of instructions.  All of the outer planking was cut and shaped by me.  I wish I took some before and durring construction pics but I couldn't find my camera ... sorry.
I haven't decided what I'm going to do about the front colored light yet so it's empty for now.  Here's a pic of the side planking
Here's a pic of the top planking with the inlay.
Shmoopie is one of the many cutsie names I have for Ashley ...

Notice the brass propeller and rudder.
There's a shot of the the propeller and rudder.  I had to shape the rudder and solder it to the pivot shaft and sand it smooth.
Here's a pic of the bottom and side of the boat.
The electronics consist of a 2.4Ghz radio and receiver.  An LRP Waterproof Reversable ESC, a Hitec Servo, a Monster Motor, 2 Cell 7.4V Lithium Battery Pack with Deans Connector.  Pretty basic stuff.
