I recently got our company signed up with Lowe's and Home Depot to do cabinet installations. I did a few installs and wished I didn't have to hold them up while David screwed them to the wall. So I came up with the idea of a platform that I can put the cabinet on and raise it to whatever height I want. This could make cabinet installation a one man opperation. |

It was nice to get my idea on paper. Here's what I drew |

I ordered the steel online and it came in about a week. The hardware and wheels are from ACE Hardware. I deviated from the original sizes just a little to keep from having too much waste. After several hours of cutting, drilling and welding I now have the frame. Here it is completely collapsed. |

Here it is extended to 6' tall. |

Now I need to find a way to power it. I tried using the acme thread and nut out of a car jack but it didn't have enough power. So, I'll have to think about what's next. Maybe hydraulic? |
