This breed was originally brought by English immigrants to the southern part of America. They helped farmers and ranchers with everything from guarding property, to catching and driving cattle and hogs.
Facts:
The American bulldog of today is still an all purpose dog. They make a great guard dog, working partner and a great member of the family! They are very loyal and confidant , brave and determined. For these reasons it is very important for plenty of training and socialization early on. They can be reserved with strangers and sometimes aggressive with other dogs due to thier strong protective instincts. They ceave thier family and are terrific with children!
Discription:
There is a lot of emphasis on the American bulldogs ability rather than thier looks. Due to this their weight and height can very considerably.The males are ideally 22 - 27 inches tall at the withers and weigh between 75 - 125 pounds. The females are ideally 20 - 25 inches tall at the withers and weigh between 60 - 100 pounds. They have a short stiff coat and may come in any color or color pattern except solid black or solid blue.
Family run kennel. All of our puppies are raised with children. Stud services available to approved females. Puppies due June 6th!
