This walkthrough was originally written four months after the game was released. It was not released however till four months after Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh was released. The reason was because Anthony Larme's Phantasmagoria Site contained all the information anyone needed about Phantasmagoria. Anthony Larme closed his site months after Phantasmagoria 2's release. Both Anthony Larme and Beyond-Dreams where friends and worked together to better each other's web site. A understanding was made that we would do the details of Phantasmagoria 2 while Anthony Larme would continue is indepth review of Phantasmagoria.

Game Walkthrough


Before we begin with the walkthrough, I would like to state that this walkthrough is a spoiler. As with any walkthrough, you should not use this walkthrough hand and hand with the game the first time you play it. You should try and only use this as a resource to when a "all else fails" situation occurs.

Chapter One

  • Leave the  kitchen, and head to the reception hall
  • Try to open the blue-green doors.
  • Leave the house through the front door.
  • Go to the car, and that will take you to the local town.
  • Enter Realtor's Office.
  • Talk to realtor.
  • Go to the filing cabinet and get the key.
  • Go back to your car and return back to the house.
  • Go to hallway the springs off the reception hall.
  • Use key on the locked doors at end of the hallway.
  • Enter the library.
  • Head to the desk and pick up the black item.
  • Drop the item tot he inventory eye, the item will turn out the be a letter opener.
  • Go the the fireplace.
  • Use the letter opener on the fireplace.
  • The will make an opening to a chapel. (Useless Note: Look at the opening, the bricks outline the Sierra logo)
  • Get the Bible from the altar.
  • Open the box that was under the Bible.



Chapter Two

  • Open the bedroom dresser drawers.
  • Get the money and go back to the town.
  • Enter the General Store.
  • Talk to salesman.
  • Buy the drain cleaner with the money, then head back to the house.
  • Enter the barn located near the car, adjacent from the house.
  • Look at the cooking utilities.
  • Give the cleaner to Don.
  • At the house, go to the second floor, and try to open the door to the dark room.



Chapter Three

  • In the house, go to the dining room.
  • Get the fireplace item.
  • Enter kitchen, and get the matches from the drawer.
  • Open the door to the kitchen closet.
  • Turn on the light, then examine the rug.
  • Use the fireplace item on the cellar door.
  • Go downstairs, use a match on Adrienne.
  • Get the hammer from the cellar.
  • Leave the house and head tot he barn.
  • Climb the  ladder.
  • Use the pitchfork then your hands on the pulley to rescue Harriet.
  • Use the hammer on the nail in the hole.
  • Leave the barn, and go back to the house.
  • Go to the locked door on the third floor.
  • Insert the nail in the keyhole.
  • Use fireplace item to get the key that fell behind the door.
  • Use the key on the door.
  • Enter the Tower Room.
  • Look out the window, then pick up and examine the book.
  • Leave the house, and go to the town.
  • Go back to the General Store.
  • Head to the back of the store.
  • Get the bone by clicking on bottom of the barrel.
  • Go back to the car, but don't take it.
  • Take the other path that leads to a house.
  • Give the bone to the dog before opening the gate.
  • Go to the front door, and knock.
  • Give the book to the housekeeper.
  • Talk to Malcolm, then return to the house.



Chapter Four

  • Talk to Harriet in the reception hall.
  • Leave the house thru the back door.
  • Talk to Cyrus.
  • Enter the house thru the back door.
  • Leave the house, again thru the back door, and head to the garden to talk to Cyrus again.
  • Follow Cyrus to the washed out path
  • Pick up the lenspiece from the path.
  • Examine the telescope, then use the lenspiece on the telescope
  • Look thru it to discover a new room.
  • Go back to the house.
  • Go to the Tower Room landing.
  • Use the hammer on the wooden wall.
  • Enter the attic that you just found.
  • Then, head to the reception hall.



Chapter Five

  • Go to the barn.
  • Attend the séance.
  • Go back to the house and head to the conservatory on the third floor opposite the bedroom.
  • Examine the dragon lantern.
  • Go to the dragon lantern projection on the wall.
  • Enter the secret passage.
  • Use the lifts to go down two floors.
  • Enter the chapel.
  • Find the opposite secret passage door in the chapel.
  • Find the secret passage to the theatre.
  • Exit the theatre thru the main doors.



Chapter Six

  • Go back to the theatre.
  • Enter makeup room behind the curtains.
  • Get the picture of Carno and Malcolm from the wardrobe.
  • Leave the house, and go back Malcolm's house.
  • Give the picture to Malcolm's housekeeper.
  • Talk to Malcolm.
  • Return to your house.
  • Talk to phone guy in the reception hall.


Chapter Seven

  • Go to nursery on the third floor.
  • Pick up the pin.
  • Go to the theatre's makeup room.
  • Examine Don's jacket and get the snowman.
  • Go to the chapel.
  • Enter the secret passage to the crypt.
  • Pick up the rosary beads from Marie's sarcophagus.
  • Enter the darkroom.
  • The Chase Scene
  • Use the drain cleaner on Don.
  • Quickly grab the spell book from the table.
  • You will get caught.
  • Give the snowman to Don.
  • Pull the lever to release the blade... bye Don 
  • Run to the secret passage
  • Run down the stone side of the passage.
  • Click on the water pipe as close to the left hand side of the screen as possible.
  • Lock the chamber door.
  • Go to the alter, place the spell book on the altar.
  • Find the talisman on Carno's nearby corpse.
  • Place the talisman on the spell book.
  • Use the pin on Adrienne to drawl blood.
  • Place the rosary beads on the spell book.
