Minivan Lift ideas (Courtesy of All Pro Offroad)
OK, where does this project sit?  Not much better or farther than when I first wrote this.  BUT...  I have been doing some thinking and have come up with a few new ideas.  Using the spacers above, and DROPPING the lower control arms 2 inches, I can gain 2" of lift.  I don't gain anything as far as tire clearance, but I currently have 205/70-15s and still have room for more.  Only real problem is I need to develop an equal length halfshaft setup.  Otherwise, there could be clearance issues with the right side halfshaft hitting the control arm pivot at suspension droop.

There are still other issues to work out, but there always are.  Including, the possible trade of the van for a Ford F150 SuperCrew...

Aug 31, 2003  No more updates to this page.  Unless I get another van...  Since the Concorde was sacrificed to buy the
Supercrew, and the van went away after buying my Neon, I just won't have anymore minivan updates...
Is this the Holy Grail I seek?  OK, these are made for a Toyota Tacoma truck with coil springs.  But you get the idea.  I certainly wish I trusted MY welding abilities...
Anyway, I am seeking someone that can manufacture these to go between the top of the strut mounts and the body of the van.  Lifting the rear end is easy, just add lift blocks between the leaf spring and axle...

Hmm, the folks with the Rally K car might be interested in this for the front...
Oct 19, 2003 Wouldn't you know it.  Months after I let the old van go, I FINALLY hit upon the simple way to lift the thing...  Thanks go out to the Subaru BRAT community for this mod.  SUBARU BRAT.COM is a great site and shows all you need for a custom lift for FWD vehicles...  OK, maybe not ALL FWD cars, but you get the idea.I gotta think about another minivan...

I also am thinking about finding one of the early 80s Subie 4x4s, hatch wagon or Brat...  Some of you might recall my
2002 Outback review...  After my review, I seriously thought a Brat with a WRX drivetrain might be a bit of fun...  Later all...
