THANKS DAD
Thinking back I appreciate
All the “little stuff” you did.
You taught me to ride my bike –
And dusted me off when I wiped!
You taught me how to fish -
And found my fish stories amusing!
You took joy in my accomplishments,
And gently forgave me when I goofed.
You showed me how to be a friend -
To those who needed it the most.
You always helped whom you could,
Always being a positive example to me.
You taught me to live, laugh, love, and pray,
You saw the bright side of every day.
Thank you for teaching me -
The value of believing in myself;
Treating others with friendship and respect,
And seeking first - God's will for me!
