Born Lady Victoria Anna Canavaugh on October 22nd to
Lord William Nicolas Canavaugh and Lady Anna Victoria
Canavaugh in London, England.  Victoria is the middle
child of two older brothers, born William Edward and
James Nicolas, and two younger sisters, born Abigale
Jennifer and Samantha Elizabeth.  She was bread into
middle class, as were her parents, and they owned a
prosperous farm just outside of London.  She had a
pleasant childhood, though being the middle child she
was often ignored by the upsets of the other children.
As a result, she would leave the family quarrels, and
venture off into a nearby wood.  There she would
pretend the trees were her guardian angels, and the
other plants were her friends.  As a result of plants
for friends, her personality grew to be sweetly naïve.
When she was out and about she became very fond of
gardening.  Her parents took note of this, and gave
her a small spot of land for her thirteenth birthday
so she could start her own garden.  Often when they
called her for dinner, she would be found dirty and
smiling in her small garden of roses, gardenias,
pansies, lilacs, and jasmines.

The Canavaugh Family prepared for a short trip to
Wales when Victoria was 18 years of age, but they had
no idea of the disaster to come.  Not but half a day
of the family leaving their humble farm, a messenger
came to tell them of raids that were being reported
along the roads they had planned to take.  When the
messenger arrived, it was too late, for they had
already left.  Half way along the trip they had
stopped for a routine stretch and small rest, when her
family carriage was raided.  Victoria was out of site
in the bushes and saw what happened.  She managed to
get to her horse and ride for help.  Victoria escaped
with the few thing that she had packed on her horse,
but not with out a small chase. Because of her size
and the distance to the nearest town, the raiders
figured it would be nothing to let her go.  Victoria
knew it would be wise not to travel on the road, as it
would be easy for her to be tracked.  She left the
road, and soon after was lost.  Luckily after only a
couple of days she found Pheyland Keep.

The kindness shown to her impressed her so much that
after months of being a guest, she asked to call it
her new home.  She believed that her family was dead,
and that she must start a new life on her own.  Only a
week after asking the Duchy for permission to live in
the Keep, she was accepted with open arms and named
the Keep's Gardener, a title that Victoria was glad to
accept, she having a love of flowers and plants, and a
passion of hers.   Only a month later she gladly
accepted the position of being the Duchess'
Chamberlain, which was offered to her by the Duchess
herself.
