| Iloilo-born writer Francezca Kwe is nevertheless a product of Manila private schools. She holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Santo Tomas, and is currently completing her Master's Degree in English Studies at the University of the Philippines.
She has recieved fellowships from the University of Santo Tomas National Writers Workshop, the University of the Philippines National Writers Workshop, the DLSU IYAS National Writers Workshop and the National Writers Workshop in Dumaguete City. A former president of the Thomasian Writers Guild, she has recieved the USTetika Literary Award for her work. Her fiction has managed to snag a Palanca Award, and has appeared in the Philippines Free Press, TOMAS, and the Sunday Times.
