It all began as Captain Jean Luc Picard was being flown in by shuttle to his new command...the USS Enterprise-D. He was of course formally greeted by his crew, and soon after they were off to Farpoint to pick up William T. Riker, their new First Officer. But, little did he or his crew know of the incredible journeys awaiting them.

In this series, the main goal of Starfleet was to still to, "Seek out new life and new civilizations." This new series took place almost 100 years ahead of "The Origanal Series", and invloved the adventures of the USS Enterprise D. Soon after it began it became very popular. So popular that there were 178 episodes divided into 7 seasons.

By 1987 Gene Roddenberry was at it again, when he created "The Next Generation". But sadly, during 1991, Gene Roddenberry passed away, and never got to see the complete sucess of his creation. Rick Berman picked up right where Roddenberry left off, and continued creating new adventures for the Enterprise and her crew. Also in 1991, "Star Trek" celebrated its 30th anniversary.

Shortly after the filming of the last episode in the series in 1991, the cast of ST:TNG began filming for TNG's first feature film, "Generations". Generations came out in 1994 and was a hit. A couple of years later in 1996 it was followed by "First Contact". Once everybody thought that the crew of TNG had seen their last film, out came Insurrection, which was yet another smashing hit for us Star Trek fans.
