Manning Rangers whip Wanderers
Manning Rangers whipped African Wanderers 4-1 in a Premier Soccer League derby at Chartsworth
Stadium in Durban on Thursday night.
The half-time score was 1-0 to Rangers.
Wanderers did well in the first half to make a fight of the game, but crumbled in the second
half to lose their second successive match of the new league season. Rangers opened their
account in the 30th minute when Wanderers' goalkeeper Mncendisi Kubheka failed to hold a shot
from Keryn Jordan
, and Solo Ndimande
tapped the rebounder home.
The "Mighty Maulers" increased their lead in the 46th minute as Jordan headed home a
corner-kick taken by
Isaac Kungoane.
Seven minutes later, Mandla Zwane netted off a through ball from Bruce Ramokadi to make the
score 3-0.Thokozani Xaba pulled one back for newly-promoted Wanderers in the 85th minute, but
