Maulers pumped up for action

The adrenaline will be pumping in both the changerooms well before kick-off at the Chatsworth stadium on Wednesday night at 8pm when home team Manning Rangers take on Umtata Bucks in a league encounter.

After a tough, professional battle in the unfamiliar territory of Tembisa's Makhulong stadium that brought the Mighty Maulers three confidence-boosting points and a share of the log leadership, coach Gordon Igesund is expecting a bigger battle against Bucks.

The Umtata club will have been relieved to earn their first point of the season in a 1-1 draw at home against Jomo Cosmos. Russian coach Viktor Bondarenko will be aiming to build on that platform. Rangers have a fully-fit squad with players gaining experience and finally learning to play as a team.
