Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours (‘cause it was them or the Boss), Boz Scaggs’ Silk Degrees (‘cause, let’s face it, the lyrics suggest that he’s some kind of serial pedophile), and Joni Mitchell’s Ladies of the Canyon (‘cause I could have had a list of 20 Joni Mitchell albums, but that would be dull) all got knocked off in the end.  It sure is hard to decide, isn’t it?

My criteria:  I’m stranded on a desert island with a turntable and twenty albums.  So, in addition to FAVORITES, VARIETY also entered into my decision.  However, I didn’t include jazz as a category, because that would’ve thrown everything off.  I’d have to have some Ella and some Dinah and some Duke and some Satchmo.  Totally different list.
