P!nk interview Pink's holding this European press conference at London's swanky St. Martin Lane Hotel to set the record straight. She feels she's been so misunderstood that she's called her second album 'Missundaztood'. Gone are aspirations of divadom and the diet R&B sound to be replaced by balls-out rock, 80s power ballads and plenty of guitars. Soft rock on! The colourful, and still very young, US singer - surrounded by pink balloons and wearing denim and a retro Gremlins t-shirt - belies her hard woman image as she fields questions about her new album, her party nature, her change of direction, her love of the 80s and her family. Read all the best bits below: - On her apparent battle between Britney that allegedly involved Ms Spears moving out of an adjoining hotel room due of Pink's excessive partying: "Who knows? I can be loud if you're not the party type. I don't think she hates me and if she does she hides it very well. She's cool. I gave her some flowers and she came in to say thank you (at Top Of The Pops). We get on fine." - On being a role model: "I'm not perfect so I'm probably not the safest person to model after but I don't lie so at least everything I do is honest." - On the 'Lady Marmalade' with Christina et al: "We'll never be through with that." - On album guest Steven Tyler from Aerosmith: "Steven rocks! He's got more energy than a 12 year old!" - On what Pink rebels against now: "I don't wanna be formatted in a box. I don't wanna be classified. I don't wanna be a puppet where other people make decisions for my career. I don't wanna be boring and normal." - On her image: "The first album was all me but they tried to mask it. As far as image goes I don't have one. I'm just a weird kid." - On upsetting celebrities: "I tend to put my foot in my mouth. I'm not good at being diplomatic. I tend to piss people off. That's what happens when you're honest." - On her celebrity party mates: "Christina can party late. Linda (Perry) is crazy. I can't go out with my band without getting into trouble. No Doubt are fun." - On British music: "Last time I was here I fell in love with the Sugababes. I thought they were so cute and cool. I love Craig David - how does he talk so fast? Coldplay rock, they are the best here, in the US, anywhere." - On Madonna impact on her life: "She was a role model. When I was eight I thought I was her." - On her father: "He raised me as a fighter. He's really political with a kick-ass attitude. I love him. The way I am is down to him." - On hooking up with ex-4 Non Blondes member Linda Perry: "I loved the 4 Non Blondes album ('Bigger, Better, Faster, More?') I saw her name in my make-up artist's book and stole the number. I left a 10 minute message on her phone saying 'I'm not a diva. Call me back. I've got your number so I can find your house'. I met her at her house and didn't leave for a month and half." - On touring with 'NSync: "Forget what you've heard. They are so much fun. They like pranks and they can sing their butts off." - On the future: "I'm definitely gonna tour. I want to find a perfect role where I can be someone else for a few months."
