Greetings Folks!
Summer is almost here or is it over? This year's Annual DuMaurier Jazz
and Blues Festival brought a lot of local musicians and from around the world, and from different musical genres.
One of the artist that I was able to see in this year's festival was  The WC Clark Blues Revue at the Yale, June 30th, 2002, Sunday.
WC Clark has been in the music industry since the early 60's. A local of Austin, Texas,
WC Clark was a bass player and played with Stevie Ray Vaughan in their early musical careers.
WC Clark stopped playing music for a while and became an auto mechanic. When he was approached by Stevie Ray.
Stevie Ray Vaughan was at the peak of his stellar career in the 80's, SRV approached WC Clark and suggest to him to go back to playing music.
WC Clark did go back playing music and has been touring and releasing CD's from then on.
His music are a mix of R&B, Blues, and tunes that you cannot stop dancing to.
First time I saw WC Clark was back in 1998 in Pioneer Square, Seattle.  I was mesmerized and uplifted by the quality of his music.
It was at that time that I pursued the chance to get WC Clark to play out here in Vancouver. Made phone calls and met people but somehow it did not materialize.
Luckily this year, Vancouver's concert promoter Ron Simmonds had the chance to have WC Clark for this year's Jazz & Blues Fest. Thank you Ron for all the support!
