| Summer is almost here or is it over? This year's Annual DuMaurier Jazz |
| and Blues Festival brought a lot of local musicians and from around the world, and from different musical genres. |
| One of the artist that I was able to see in this year's festival was The WC Clark Blues Revue at the Yale, June 30th, 2002, Sunday. |
| WC Clark has been in the music industry since the early 60's. A local of Austin, Texas, |
| WC Clark was a bass player and played with Stevie Ray Vaughan in their early musical careers. |
| WC Clark stopped playing music for a while and became an auto mechanic. When he was approached by Stevie Ray. |
| Stevie Ray Vaughan was at the peak of his stellar career in the 80's, SRV approached WC Clark and suggest to him to go back to playing music. |
| WC Clark did go back playing music and has been touring and releasing CD's from then on. |
| His music are a mix of R&B, Blues, and tunes that you cannot stop dancing to. |
| First time I saw WC Clark was back in 1998 in Pioneer Square, Seattle. I was mesmerized and uplifted by the quality of his music. |
| It was at that time that I pursued the chance to get WC Clark to play out here in Vancouver. Made phone calls and met people but somehow it did not materialize. |
| Luckily this year, Vancouver's concert promoter Ron Simmonds had the chance to have WC Clark for this year's Jazz & Blues Fest. Thank you Ron for all the support! |
