Die Diddy Die

September 10, '98 - Strangeland

If you remember the big hair bands of the '80s, you definitely remember Twisted Sister and its flamboyant frontman, Dee Snider. Now, Snider is taking his talents to the movies and back to the stage. He wrote the script for a movie, "Dee Snider's Strangeland," which he stars in. And how better to promote a movie than with a concert tour? Snider has assembled several of the artists that appear on the soundtrack, including Snot, Soulfly, (hed) p.e., dayinthelife, Static X and surprise guests, for the Strangeland Tour. Snider will host the 16-date road trip which kicks off September 8th in Los Angeles and plays theatres across the country. The metalhead package sprung from the minds of Variety Artists agent Gavin Hitt, TVT Records prexy Steve Gottlieb, Shooting Gallery Records topper Phil Carson and Soulfly's manager.

September 8, '98 - Tribe Info

The single for Tribe should be released before the end of this month. It will feature a new version with different voices, 2 remixes, and maybe a live show or two from the Dynamo.

Various Dates - The BEST Band

Soulfly won 'Best International Newcomer' at the Kerrang! Awards!

Various Dates - Video Info

In the Bleed video there's a pit going on, and these are some of the people that are in it: Christian from Fear Factory, Spineshank (all of 'em), and even Ross Robinson! Soulfly's next planned music video is for Umbabarauma and looks to have a soccer theme.

Various Dates - Album Sales

The band's cd debuted at #79 on the Billboard Album charts. That means they sold about 24,000 albums the first week of release.

August 22, 1998 - European Tour Cancelled

Yeap, It sucks for the Euroflyin Fans, but since the are not going to be in Europe, that means that Soulfly will now be playing more in America, maybe even FLORIDA!

August 13, 1998 - New Single Info

The next single put out by Soulfly will be, Tribe. One of my favorites because of the beginning. Expect it to be out sometime in September and for it to most likely have a remix or two on it.

Bleed To Death

August 8, 1998 - New Sepultura Song

I have just heard the new single that is coming off of the new Sepultura album. Let me just say that I "choked" when I heard Sepultura's "Choke". The new singer sounds just like any ordinary 'death-metal' singer. There is no roots shown or any emotion. I now know who my favorite band is, it is SOULFLY!.

Face Your Judgement!

July '98 - Two Soulfly pages taken down

Two Soulfly pages have been taken down since the exit of their tour manager. I guess people think that Soulfly can not stay strong. Well to all the people that took down your Soulfly pages and hate Max Cavalera, FUCK YOU! I got two words for you... "SUCK IT!"

July '98 - Tour Manager Gone

Soulfly's tour manager decided to either quit or he got fired, but he is not going to be touring with Soulfly. Instead, his sorry ass will be touring with Slayer. Bad choice if you ask me, Slayer is old and nobody really likes them that much anymore. Soulfly is new, and all the kids love them, they have more of a bright future.

May 1, 98: Umbabarauma

Yeah, the remixes for Umbabarauma will be done by Moby and Tom from Junkie XL, the techno-metal band signed by Roadrunner. They were Sepultura addicts for long time, and accepted to remixe the next Soulfly single for free, due to their passion for the band.

April 25, 98: Umbabarauma

The next Soulfly single will be Umbabarauma, and may be released in the middle of May. More infos soon. Moreover, we already know that Soulfly will tour in the U.S. in from August, with the Roadrunner and awesome Hardcore band Vision Of Disorder.

Logan Mader, out of Machine Head, into Soulfly
March 30, 1998

Every big fan of Machine Head knows that Logan left the band soon after the world tour. But not to worry, Machine Head will stay strong and keep playing (hopefully). The good news is, is that Logan is now part of Soulfly. After filming the video for Bleed, Lucio decided that he could not leave his childhood friends in his other band from Brazil. Gloria, knowing that Logan had recently quit Machine Head, called Logan immediately and offered him the job. He is not a permanent member of Soulfly, at this time, he is just being hired to do the world tour.

New Soulfly Symbol - March 21, 1998

Much like the "Tribal S" for Sepultura, Soulfly has came up with their own symbol. This sign is tribal-like, and has a african presence to it. This looks like it would be a kick-ass tatoo.
