Scottish Tablet


Ingredients


2 lbs of white sugar.
2 tablespoons of syrup.
1 tin of condensed milk.
2 ounces of butter or margarine.
3 ounces of water (optional).
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence.


Caramel Cake.

Ingredients.


Frozen pie cases.
One tin of condensed milk
One quarter cup of corn syrup.
One bar of chocolate.


Instructions

Place all ingredients in pan.
Melt slowly.
Stir continuously till boiling.
Boil for approximately 30 minutes.

Remove from heat and beat well
then pour into greased baking tray.
Mark into squares when cool then cut when cold.


Instructions.


Bake pie shells according to instructions on box.
Mix condensed milk and syrup in saucepan and heat gently, about one third of the way up the temperature dial.
Stir constantly for approx half an hour till mixture thickens slightly and darkens a little in colour.
Pour into pie case, sprinkle on some grated chocolate and allow to cool in refrigerator.
