This is a mouse trap powered car that I built for a competition at Ohio University. I won the longest distance, best engineered and overall maximum number of total performance points. The vehicle ran 29 ft. It opperates on a design pricipal that I had solely created. The body consists of two large wheels (records) that have mounted on to them the mousetrap. The wheel body is put into rotation because as torque is applyed to the lever arm, it acts against the ground, resulting in a torque applied onto the wheel body. The vehicle is capable rolling very large distances, powered only by the moustrap spring. But in it's three judged runs, it had a tendency to roll out of the 3 ft wide drag strip for the mousetrap powered cars, and so only made it 29 ft. It was still rolling at good velocity when it hit the wall which leads me to think that it is capable of rolling about 70 ft on clear flat floor. It cost me $3.50 to build and won me $80 in prizes. |

This is was a fan powered radio controlled car that I built when I was young (age 14 I think). The chassi was super weak but lightweight. I crashed it on the fist test run. It moved fast, but with no brakes, it really smashed itself good. |

This is a fan powered scooter that I made out of the leftover components from the car above. I needed about 10 of these fans to create enough thrust to move me. That was a sad event of math and physics. |

This is one of the third of my walking lego "robots" that I built. Unlike the previous models, it could turn corners and go forward and backward. The wheels on the end of the legs were used as traction and did not spin. |
