This site is against provisions of the Higher Education Act, which denies money (specifically
money from the FAFSA) to kids who've had any drug convictions (however,
convicted murderers and rapists can still get aid) OR who leave the question
on the form blank. This may sound good, but it denies money to the people who really need
it: lower/middle class kids who otherwise might not be able to go to school, who need college
to get ahead in life.

The basic premise to this site is do what you can for the people who need it.
If you have a problem like unexpected (small) medical bills or you can't pay your rent
because you just lost your job, just write in and ask for help, and you'll get it
from people who've donated a couple extra dollars.
This is a really good idea. All you do is set up the program as your screensaver, and it
scans excerpts of radio signals from space for intelligent patterns. It frees up
computers in labs across the world for more pressing matters, and who knows, maybe
you'll find a new friend.
