These are some issues that I feel strongly about. Click on the banners to learn more about each
organization and cause. If you agree with the issue, please please PLEASE write to your Congress
people and let them know. Some sites will even have already written petitions for you that you only
need to add your name and address to.

This site is against provisions of the Higher Education Act, which denies money (specifically
money from the FAFSA) to kids who've had any drug convictions (however,
convicted murderers and rapists can still get aid) OR who leave the question
on the form blank. This may sound good, but it denies money to the people who really need
it: lower/middle class kids who otherwise might not be able to go to school, who need college
to get ahead in life.
I am EXTREMELY pro-choice.
This site features a bunch of different
causes, including political, environmental, and
democratic issues. Although I don't agree with everything, it's still
a good place to go
for information about different stuff.
Whoever came up with the idea for this
site must've been a genius. All you do is go to it,
click a button, and 0.5-1 cup of food gets donated to fighting hunger around
the world.
It's pretty much the easiest way on the web to make a
difference.

The basic premise to this site is do what you can for the people
who need it.
If you have a problem like unexpected (small) medical bills or you can't pay your rent
because you just lost your job, just write in and ask for help, and you'll get it
from people who've donated a couple extra dollars.
This is a really good idea. All you
do is set up the program as your screensaver, and it
scans excerpts of radio signals from space for intelligent patterns. It
frees up
computers in labs across the world for more pressing matters, and who knows,
maybe
you'll find a new
friend.
