| I sit here and I look back over the years, I see all the changes that have come my way, Some are good, others I couldn't have done without. But the one constant thing, The one thing that I could always rely on, Was your friendship. Calling it friendship doesn't quite seem like enough, You are my sanity when things get crazy, You are my strength when I feel weak, You are my conscience when I get carried away, You are my confessor, and my professor.. Always listening to me and helping me to make my way in this life You always have my best interests at heart, You are never selfish in your advice, You always help me to choose what is best for me, Even if it may not be what you want You do all these things and more for me, So often I know I forget to tell you how thankful I am, Not just for the things you do, But for all that you are. You are all the very best things in life You are sunshine because you glow from within... You are spring time because you renew me... You are laughter because you make my heart smile You are rainbows because you bring so much color to my life... I wanted to take this moment in time, To sit down and gather my thoughts And share with you just how special you are to me Thank you for being such a big part of my life Without you I would not be who I am today. |
