Camera Work During a victory sequence for any character, press the L and R buttons to zoom in and out of picture, and use the directional pad to change camera angles. Clean Pause Screen After you pause the game, hit SELECT and the pause dialog box will be removed. Extra Options The first 5 extra options are time released. After every 3 hours of game time(a clock in the extra options screen keeps the time) an extra option will be released. After 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15 hours you get an option. They will not appear automatically, once the clock passes 3, 6, 9, 12, or 15, you must enter a one player game mode, and either win the mode or lose on purpose, so that you will go back to the title screen. It will then say "Extra config open" Extra Outfits Extra outfits in Dead or Alive are earned by winning the game with the character you want the extra outfit for at normal difficulty or higher. You can earn the first few outfits for each character by setting the life bars for you at Highest and your opponent at Smallest and setting the fight count at one. Once you have gotten all the outfits you can in this mode, the remainder can be gotten by setting the game to default settings (best of 3 rounds, normal life, normal difficulity, normal life bars) to get the rest. Using this trick you should be able to get Kasumi's first 10 outfits, Lei Feng's first 9 outfits, and everyone elses first 5. Fight Ayane To fight against Ayane, you must defeat Kasumi in under 5 minutes. Final Extra Option To release the last option on the extra options menu all you have to do is simply get every single costume in the game for every character (including Raidou and Ayane.) It's not much, just a silly CG viewer, but at least you can claim you have all the extra options. Hidden Voices and Music Place Dead or Alive into any conventional CD player and skip to track 2. DO NOT PLAY TRACK 1! Forty one minutes of music including seventeen songs and eleven character voice samples lurk within. Play as Ayane To enable Ayane, obtain every costume in the game. 14 for each female, 5 for each male, and 3 for Raidou. Play as Raidou To play the game as Raidou (the last boss), beat the game using the default settings with each character. Wallpaper This really isn't a trick, but put your Dead or Alive CD in your computer's CD-ROM drive, and open it under Windows Explorer. There will be a folder titled 'Omake'. Inside you'll find the wallpaper bitmaps used by the game at the menu screens, but since they are bitmaps, you can use them on your PC for wallpaper.

Bonus Game It seems the miners liked to play Asteroids on their breaks. Buried within the VOS system you'll find a variation of this classic shooter. To find it, go to any VOS terminal and enter the Communications area. Select Local Communications and, when you see the message regarding the option being unavailable, press Triangle. Outsmart the Game When you get to the control room install the software and adjust the parameters so the turrets work right. Then when your done head back down to admin. level 6 and head outside the main door that has the red tyron sybol on it. Then head to the right and there should be three doors, one on the right and two on the left. Head to the very last door on the left. On the VOS and lock the door which you came into.Now wait for the aliens to come in the area. Then when there near they'll try to go in but can't. Then they'll go in the other room and go near the wall. You then have to wait for the other aliens to enter, then lock the door when all six are in. Then when there in you did it! You can do whatever you want now that there stuck. NOTE: When the VOS warns you about the aliens ignore it the game only lets 6 intruders in the station.

Maximum Charge Dash Charge two or three levels then cancel with a dash. These dashes can deflect lower level attacks. For example, Dash level 3 deflects level 2 attacks. Random Level Select Press START on the level select screen to randomly pick a level. Secret Characters Finish one player mode with any character then in the Character Select press start on that character to get the hidden character.

Dark Play in Arcade Mode While playing, pause the game and press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, X, Circle. Level Select After earning a highscore of 573,000 wait until you're at the demo screen with princess Merora, then hold R1 + L1 and you can use the D-Pad to select the stages. If you score 1,000,000 or higher, you can repeat this trick twice. You can have fun and do it at the easiest setting with 9 stocks, then save your game.
Fast Forward In Wars mode, as soon as your life meter runs out press the TRIANGLE button and the characters that are left will speed up their progress in the round. NOTE: This works ONLY when nothing but computer players are left in the round. Verbal Instructions On the title screen, press RIGHT. The first time you do this the word "Rules" will appear, followed by verbal instructions for the game. After the instructions are over, keep on pressing RIGHT until you get back to the start screen. Press RIGHT one more time and it will paint the same smear but in a different color and it will say "Basic Technique". Then it will give you the basic techniques verbally.
Attribute Trick If you don't have enough of one attribute to use a weapon, helmet, or armor then put a ring or amulet that will give you enough of one attribute to use it. Apply the ring or amulet then put the item on then take the ring off and the item won't turn red and you can still use it. Note this only works if the item you want to use gives you points to the attribute you need to boost. Easy Money Need cash and equipment fast? Well if you have two controllers this is the cheat for you! All you need to do is start a two-player game and load two characters or load one and start a new one. Now transfer all gold and any equipment to one character. Save that character and start a new game again. When you load the character all you need to do is sell stuff and build a gold pile. Save again then repeat the process as needed. Get different weapons from the Butcher When you get to the Butcher save the game. After you beat the Butcher you get an item. If you don't like the item you recieved you can get different items by reloading the game right before you were at the butcher. Phantom Duplication Trick Note: This trick will work with any item you can place in your belt (potions & scrolls) but the duplicate items are phantoms and will only exist in your inventory! To perform this cheat, the item you wish to duplicate must be in your belt. You also need 9 items you can drop. Find a location that has an open space at least 4x4 in size and stand in the middle of it. Drop 9 items from your main inventory. This will create a square of 8 items around you with you in the middle standing on the 9th item. Return to your inventory screen and replace one of the items in your belt with the item you want to duplicate. When you've done that, highlight the item in your belt that you want to duplicate, press the X button, then press the triangle button. You'll be returned to the game screen and a duplicate of the item you highlighted on your inventory screen will drop outside the square of items. Go pick up this item and return to the middle of the square of dropped items and repeat the process until you have duplicated as many items as you want. IMPORTANT: The item you want to duplicate MUST be in your belt, not your main inventory, for this trick to work. The items you create using this trick will work just like the real thing and they will sell for the same price as the real thing, but if you attempt to drop the duplicate it will vanish! Also, if you attempt to save your game with a phantom object in your inventory, you'll get an error and could possibly lose your previously saved game as well, so be forewarned. The best way to take advantage of this cheat is to use the duplicated items immediately. For example: dup an identify scroll to identify an item and save the 100 gold piece fee; dup Strength, Magic, Dexterity, Vitality or Spectral Elixirs and immediately use them to boost your stats; dup that *Rare* and expensive scroll to make some quick cash! Change Enemy Voices To change the voices of the enemy on Die Hard press start and hold R2 then press: right, up, down, down, square, square, right. If you follow it you will be able to drive a garbage truck. Ride a School Bus In level 9 (Chin2) make it to the first car chase and follow the truck. You will soon come to a parking lot where you can chose to become a school bus. Unlimited Beretta Clips If you have a beretta, use all but 1 bullet before you exit the level. As you're running into the elevator fire the final bullet. If you did it right you'll have unlimited beretta ammo in the next level. Power Struggle When your opponent does the fireball press triangle, circle, and square repeatedly fast. then right in the middle of your opponent's fireball you will do the fireball back and as you are doing the fireball, press square alot of times and you will hit your opponent or he will still hit you if you do not press fast enough. Self-Destruct While playing as Vegeta or Majin Boo, press forward, back, down, up and the fireball button (default is triangle) to perform a self-destruct. This does massive damage to your opponent if it connects and takes away about half of your Ki power. Sound Test To enable Sound Test, press L1, L2, R1, R2 then Start at the title screen. Double Your Gold To double your gold as many times as you like, save your game on memory card in slot 1. Leave your game on, but swap the memory cards between slots 1 and 2. Save your game again. Restart your playstation and go into the TRADE mode. Trade an identical dragon between the two memory cards, but include all of the gold in slot 2 in the trade (yes, you can adjust the gold traded here). Finish the trade and make sure it saves. Restart your game and your gold total should have doubled. Switch the memory cards to begin the process all over and repeat as many times as desired. Earn Money Easily 1) Have a memory card in the second slot so that you can get the wild dragons when you go to the memory forest. Make sure you have a dragon that has evolved into a senior (snr). 2) Get enough money from tournaments to buy many knives and pot lids from the shop. 3) Now with your dragon, go to the memory forest to get the wild dragons. Get the dragons with the best weapons and reflectors. (Note: you can get the same dragon as many times as you can, as long as you have enough bio-banks in the game.) 4) Go to the biobank.Exchange your dragon for any of the wild dragons that you had just caught. 5) Go to your apartment. Equip the wild dragon with the knife and pot lid. In the same menu, go to the weapons and the reflectors that your wild dragons previously had (not the knife and pot lid). You can sell them off by choosing the "discard" option. 6) Voila! You've earned profits from buying a 10g weapon and 30g reflector. 7) To finish, bring your wild dragon back to the memory forest and release it. Repeat steps 4 through 7 until you do not have any more wild dragons left in your biobank. Easy Cash at Start First get a dragon(just for the trick, not to be really used), and get a knife and pot lid(cheapest weapons). Go to the arena nd fight in A Class and surrender immediatly and you get 80 gold. Continue till you get enough gold and then start a real dragon with your hordes of gold! Easy way to defeat people at Pablo's First you need to catch wild dragons from the memory forest. Then select one(preferably a Zombie if you catch one). Go to Pablo's and fight any of the Dragonsages. It should be alot easier than regular. Plus if they die you don't lose a well trained dragon. Fire Dragon For a guaranteed fire dragon, select the phrase "Armageddon is near". Free Weapon and Reflector If you are running low on cash and need a weapon and reflector for your dragon visit Ishuka's "Junk Shop". In pity, he will give you a knife and a pot lid. These are the worst in the game but there free! Function Phrases high stat dragon-the power is eternal special attack dragon-the rock is shining powerful dragon-life is beautiful weaker dragon-start with any obscene word high wisdom dragon-the egg is crying Get Evil and Spirit To be able to raise an evil or a spirit from the cloneing facility, all you have to do is become a WDC Champion. After this they will become selectable on the species list. Alternatively, just have a spirit or an evil traded to you and you'll be able to raise them also. Get Powerful Weapons and Reflectors Enter and exit from Nancy's shop continuously until she says that the junk shop's owner is complaining that you didn't visit him. Then, go to the junk shop and he will sell you either a weapon or a reflector. Super Dragons/ Mutant Dragons Enter "Life is Eternal" when in the clonelab and you should receive a dragon who will eventually turn into a Super or Mutant Dragon. If it doesn't work the first time, try it again and again. It comes up random depending on the Dragon race chosen.
