Clones While playing a two-player game, press START then press SELECT, choose a different character, then press X. When either player is teleporting in the blue ray, have the other player press START, then SELECT. If you're quick enough, both players will have the same character. Billy's Ending 2 To get Billy's 2nd Ending, beat the game with Billy wearing his other costume. Geese Ending 2 To get Geese's 2nd Ending, you must beat the game with Geese wearing one of his suits. The only difference between his 1st ending and his 2nd, besides the fact that he's wearing a suit is that Geese doesn't smile after walking away. Geese's Hidden Costume At the Character Select screen, highlight Geese. Hold the START button, and press circle or X to play as Geese in his black suit (square and triangle will give you Geese in a dark brown suit). Play as Duck King/Bonus Modes Beat the game with Mr. Karate, Duck King will appear on the left side of the question mark meaning he is playable. Also after doing that, the team battle mode option and data mode will appear. Play as Mr. Karate Beat the game with everybody and win without losing at least once to get Mr Karate.
Invincibility At the title screen, hold R1 + R2 + Square. If you entered the code correctly, the logo will flash. Then while playing a game, press Select to restore your character's energy to full.
Secret Cars To earn the secret cars, satisfy the conditions below: PCS: Clear the First stage within 4 min. GTI: Clear the Second stage within 4 min. DBL: Clear the Third stage within 4 min. Subway Shortcut When you get to the maze part in Paris you should be able to go either right or left. First you want to go left then you should reach another fork and go left there too. Then you should reach a white gate. Go down the ramp and then turn into the subway to save a LOT of time. Third Stage Shortcut Once you get out of the city, head for the spiral ramp. In the pillar you drive around there is a cut-out that is quite small, but can be entered with the VW or motor After that, enter the water area and drive straight to another ramp.

Mess Around with your Player's Shadow While in instant-replay screen hold R1 or L1 and your players shadow will start to move around. Play as the Same Character While playing press start and go to Team management option and go to substitution menu. Pick the character you want to double or triple. After you pick him, put him at the Bench. Press ok button. Then unpause the game and wait for the substitution. After the substitution is complete, go to the substitution menu again, replace ONE character with your chosen character press cancel, then go to the substitution again. This time you'll see that your chosen character still remains on the bench. Choose another character and replace with your chosen character. You can do this over and over. After you finish changing character, unpause the game, and see the substitution!

Block Throws When your enemy has you in their grasp and are ready to throw you,you can counter their action by simply tapping the punch button. This will stop them from throwing you, and allow you to punch their lights out. Cheat Menu At the main screen (1 PLAYER, 2 PLAYER, and OPTIONS) hold Left + Square + L1 + R2 until "Cheat Mode" appears at the bottome of your screen.Quickly choose OPTIONS and you can enable Invincibility or start on any level. Easy Bazooka In the start of the game you will see a car on the left. Go to the back of it, then punch it until it explodes. After it explodes, pick up the bazooka that dropped out. Easy Gun and Metal Stick In level one, after destroying the police go to the upper-right corner, near the gate and you will find a metal stick and a gun. Easy Shotgun In the first level,destroy the car near the ending doors in the parking lot and a shotgun will fly out of the back. Easy Victory To defeat a boss or enemy with ease, just tap the punch and kick buttons at the same time. This will give you a soccer style kicking maneuver. Repeat until the boss or enemy is dead. If you have a turbo controller you can simply put the punch and kick buttons on auto, allowing you to just hold those buttons. Get Shotgun or Handgun after Beating a Level When you beat a level and see the destruction bonus etc, hurry to the exit. If done correctly you will hear a chime! and the screen will flash white for a second. When you go to the next level you will either have a shotgun or a handgun. If playing two player, first player will have the shotgun and second player will have the handgun or vice versa. Mega Gun Go to the air base. Once inside go over to the hanger, and bash the A-10 for a while,and its gun will fall off. This huge gun which even the big guy will struggle to lift, is a devestating weapon. Secret Move To do a secret move with any of the four fighters, quickly move your thumb from Circle to X. If done correctly here is what each fighter should do: Smasher: Earthquake pound Alana: Sweep Mace: Sweep Hawk: Jumping spin kick Super Combo With Hawk, grab someone and then press X, X, X, Square, Square, Square, Triangle. This combo can kill most characters and is the best grab move in the game. Unlimited Lives To get unlimited lives, pause the game and press Right, Square, Triangle, Square, Triangle, X.
Build up Rage Meter with soda Smash any pop machine untill cans fall out, press X while standing over one to drink from one. It will build up your Rage Meter. Capitalize on the stupid AI In any level where there are desks that you can climb/jump onto and your enemies are not armed with any type of gun that they can shoot you with this trick will work. It's simple, if you are iin a room that meet those conditions just climb onto a desk. Your enemies will stand still, allowing you to take them down with your guns. Invincibility, infinite ammo and stage select. At the "press start" screen press and hold these buttons: L1 + L2 + R1 + Triangle + X + Left. If entered correctly, once you "start game" you will be brought to a level select screen. You can choose to continue your old games also, they will have the code effect as well. Once in the game, all your guns will have unlimited ammo when they are picked up and you will not die. But you may have your health deducted if you fall from high places or burn yourself. If you fall into a 'pit'. You will still die, so be very careful at edges. Use the walk button (L1) at the edges. It will prevent you from falling. (Warning- You will not be able to save at all)

Easy Ability Points in FF5
For easy ability points (say, 4-8 per battle!) go to thebasement of
Bal Castle in World 2. Here you'll encounter Statues in groups of 2
(4 ability points) or 5 (8 ability points). However, you will most likely
find yourself having difficulty with these stone warriors. Using a
Soft potion will kill them instantly! Just keep stocking up on Soft
potions and master all those classes that require hundreds of ability points!
Easy Kills in FF6
To instantly destroy almost any monster (including most bosses),
simply cast Vanish on them, then use X-Zone. It will instantly destroy
all invisible enemies. Use Doom if there is only 1 enemy.
Easy Spell Learning in FF6
WORLD OF BALANCE
Fly to the Triangular Island after learning the Doom spell.
You'll eventually come across an invisible sleeping enemy. Use Doom on
him. He might cast Meteo. Each victory you eek out nets you 10 magic
points towards spell learning.
WORLD OF RUIN
Equip everyone with the Esper they are lacking in and fly them to
the Miranda Desert. Each Hoover here gives you 5 Magic Points,
while each Cactuar nets you 10.
Easy experience points in FF5
In final fantasy 5, once you get the summon Bahamut, there is an
incredibly good and easy way to get tons of experience points. Youll
notice that if you follow the mountain range south from North
Mountain, (the place where you got Bahamut,) there is a small
patch of trees where you landed your black chocobo to get to
the desert. Now that your there, simply walk up and down in the
area of the desert thats RIGHT next to the forest. There, you
will encounter enemys, which you can EASILY kill with one hit by
using Bahamut. The enemys in that area can give you from
1200-1500 experience points! Just simply keep using Bahamut
first-thing in every battle, and once your summoner runs out of
magic points, simply take your black chocobo, and fly a little ways
south to a town where you can use an Inn, and fully restore your
HP and MP, and then simply go back to the desert and repeat the process.
NOTE: This will only work in THE THIRD WORLD.. but once you get
to the third world, this is easily the best way to gain levels in the entire game!
Easy experience points in FF6
WORLD OF BALANCE
Before the Lete River quest, set your config on "memory". Next, go
through Lete River to the part where if you go up, you circle and come
back to the same spot. Choose up and enter a battle. Have Edgar, Terra,
and Sabin attack while Banon uses "Health". If you set a turbo controller
for this, you can leave it on all night.
WORLD OF RUIN
Equip Phantom and the Exp. Egg on one person, and have them fly to
Doma Island. Immediately into a battle, cast Phantom. Fight here.
Each battle grants you 6000-11,000 EXP per victory.
The Tumbleweeds have a spell that removes invisibility, so be careful.
After you get a person to level 80+ here, you should fly to the Dino
Forest near the Veldt. The enemies here give you lots more, but
they have spells that remove your invisibility.
Economizer Relic in FF6
This relic is very useful as it reduces your magic cost to 1 point
per spell! Here are three ways to get it:
1. Go to the Phoenix Cave with Locke in one of your parties. Steal
from the Apuila (A bird creature) and you will get an Economizer.
Try several times because sometimes you'll just get Fenix Downs.
2. Go to the forest east of Gau's father's house. Sometimes a
Brachiosaur appears. Fight it (VERY HARD) and sometimes it
drops an Economizer.
3. Go to the Coliseum and bet a Gem Box. If you win the battle
you'll receive an Economizer.
Gain Levels Overnight in FF6
You need a turbo controller for this trick. On the Lete River, when
you go in circles select fight, fight, health, and auto crossbow using
memory (config menu) if you do this correctly you can leave it sitting
overnight and be at level 50 - 65 the next day.
NOTE: It probably isn't good for to leave your PSX on all night.
Get Edgar's Chainsaw in FF6
To get Edgar's chainsaw, In Zozo, there should be a clock in one
of the buildings. The answer to the clock puzzle is 6 hours, 10
minutes, and 50 seconds.
Get Gogo and Umaro in FF6
GOGO - in the world of ruins go to the triangle island and fight a
zone eater let it suck your party up and you can find Gogo.
UMARO - Go to Narshe in the world of ruins then go up to where
the esper Tritoch is. Fight the esper and he will give you his powers
then a chunk of the mountain will fall down. If you enter the hole you
will find a maze that leads to the Terrato esper, some magicite, and
Umaro. If you have Mog in your team he will join you.
Get Mog in FF6
To get Mog before the world of ruin go to narshe after you get your
girl from ZoZo. (It should automatically send you there.) Walk out of
the elders house after she says she'll talk to the Espers. Then go to
the house with all the treasures in it. (It's on the east side of the
town on the upper level.)
You will see Lone wolf stealing the tresure out of the locked chest.
Follow him out, he will lead you up to the Esper, he will threaten to
throw Mog off the edge the. Then the Esper will knock them both
off, they will both be hanging on. If you save Lone Wolf he will give
you the gold hair pin that he got out of the chest, if you save Mog
he will join your party.
Get the Exp. Egg in FF6
In Darill's Tomb(World of Ruin) you can find the exp. egg relic. It
doubles the number of exp. points a character gets after a battle.
First, find the seemingly worthless room with four tombstones.
On them will be carved four-letter phrases that make no sense.
Then find the room with the blank tomb-stone in the upper left area
of the tomb. Go to the tombstone, it will ask you to carve an
inscription. The four nonsense phrases will appear. Carefully select
each one in an order to where the phrases lined up will say "The world
is square". Then you will be told where to find the egg. In the third
basement , a wall will have opened up to the right of the trasure
chest. Walk through the wall and get the egg.
Get the Genji Glove in FF6
You can get a Genji Glove when you are at the returners base for
the first time when you go outside and talk to Bannon. When he
asks you to become the last ray of hope (or something or other)
say no, he will send you inside. Go back out and say no again, he will
again send you back in - go out one more time and say no again he
will send you inside and the injured soldier will come in and you will
get a Genji Glove instead of the Gauntlet.
Get the Mooglr Charm in FF6
Here's how to get the Moogle charm, possibly the best relic in the game.
When you first find mog, talk to him. he will join your group, after
this happens, walk to the wall that was behind him, and press
search. (a) You will receive the charm. With this Item equipped,
you cannot be attacked by invisible monsters.
Get the Paladin Shield in FF6
To earn the Paladin Shield, you must get the Cursed shield from
an old man in Narsh after you get the FalconAirship. Equip the
shield, and win 255 battles with it.That will break the curse...and
thus, you will now have the Paladin Shield.
Once the shield becomes the Paladin shield you can complement it
nicely by also equipping the ribbon. The character who has both of
these items will be impervious to every ailment except the count
down timer.
Get the Rename Card in FF6
During the course of the game, you may find you don't like the names
you have selected for your characters. Like if you named Sabin after
your former best friend and you want to change it. Go to the
Colosseum and bet the Elixir. If you defeat Cactrot you win the
Rename Card. And if you don't like it, you can bet it for the mysterious
Marvel Shoes, if you can beat the Doom Dragon.
Suggestion: Equip a strong character like Cyan with the Genji Glove and
Offering to really clean up at the Colosseum!
Get the Second Memento Ring in FF6
Make your way to the second floor of Strago and Relm's house.
In the left hand corner (the one with the tables and chairs) face
south and press A to gain another Memento ring.
Getting Shadow in the World of Ruin in FF6
If you can't seem to find Shadow anywhere after you leave him
behind and the world blows up, it's because you can't - he's dead.
To avoid this, when the game asks if you want to wait for shadow
(before the world of ruins blows up) choose to wait for him. He'll
arrive with 4 seconds left on the timer and your party will
automatically book it out of there. You can then find him in the
cave where you usually find Relm.
He'll be taken back to Relm's town but will soon leave. Go to the
colosseum and put up the weapon that you found in the Veldt cave.
You will be able to fight him-defeat him and he's yours!
How to get the spell Ultima or the Ragonrok in FF6
First you have to get Locke back in the Phoenix Cave (2nd world).
After that you must go to Narshe with Locke in your Party. You go
up to the weapon shop and Locke should unlock it. Find a way into
the backroom and talk to the man. He will either Give you the Esper
stone with Ultima or he will give you the Ragonrok Sword. I prefer
the Ragonrok because it does a critical hit every time and takes
away 9999. Or close to it. But you could Get the stone and that
does a good 4000+ to every Enemy.
Kill the Ghost Train in FF6 easily
To easily kill the Ghost Train use a phoenix down on it.
Kill the Undead Easily
When in a battle against a ghost or undead enemy you can use a
Revivify or Fenix Down from the items menu, and any life magic.
This will kill undead enemies in one shot.
Kill the Boss of Magic Tower easily in FF6
In the World of Ruin there is a tower where only magic can be used.
At the top, after you get the Gem Box, you will fight a boss. This
boss is pretty hard because he always changes his element. Here is
the trick. Cast "Stop" on him. Then cast "Scan" to find out his weakness
and hit him with that element. Don't forget to use "Life3" on all your party
members because at the end of the battle he casts "Ultima" which kills everyone.
Relic combos in FF6
1. Economiser and Gembox: Lets you cast two spells for 1 mp a piece.
(Ultima twice kills most of the final statue parts)
2. Offering and Genji glove: attack eight times in one turn.
3. Offering and Thief glove on locke: He attacks and steals (mugs) 4 times.
Best Combination One of the best combinations of characters in the game also needs good skills and equipment. Your main team should always have: Ramza, Orlandu, Agrias, Beowulf, and Mustadio. For Ramza, make him master the monk class, then turn him into a lancer and master that class, too. For Orlandu, you can try making him a monk. just make him have the 'equip sword' ability. He can kickass with his monk abilities, even better than Ramza. Make Orlandu learn all of these skills and then turn him back into a holy swordsman. use the monk skills as a secondary skill. For Agrias, fo the same thing you did for Orlandu,except that her monk skills aren't as strong as everybody else. For Beowulf, make him learn all of his temple knight skills and then turn him into a samurai. Learn all of the skills, and then turn him back to the temple knight. The skills should be useful, especially the 'kiyomori' sword skill. For Mustadio, do the same thing you did with Ramza. At the start of the game, though, you might want him to learn all of the snipe skills and then become a master chemist. this is a good combo for early stages. Note: When using Orlandu, Agrias, and Beowulf, make sure you duplicate the Excalibur sword and give one to each of them. It will give them the ability to go first plus hurt more with their attacks. Chicken Trick For this you'll need either a mediator or an oracle. A mediator is best. First learn any skill that lowers brave points. Then all you have to do is lower someone's brave points below 10. They'll turn into a chicken. They can't attack,they just run away. NOTE: They gain 1 brave point every turn, so keep it under 10 or they'll turn back. Deep Dungeon "Lights On" Trick If you have been to the Deep Dungeon in chapter 4, you will notice there are no lights. In order to turn them on follow this procedure: 1. Destroy all but one enemy and keep him n stop or sleep. 2. Keep choosing "Wait" for all of your team 3. Pretty soon, the defeated enemies will turn into crystals and will light up the room. Defeat Velius To defeat Velius, bring along at least one summoner that knows Lich, a chemist with a Mythril Gun, and anyone with a strong attack (like a knight or a ninja.) First, move within four spaces of Velius and use wave fist. Then you should get another turn. Use wave fist again and then jump across the water on the right. I think Velius gets his turn next and he'll use Cyclops. While he's charging, move your guys away from the target. If he targeted a certain person, attack him directly with that person. Hopefully, you'll have a summoner left. Cast Lich (It'll hit him for around 500, and he has 1000hp) By now he should be almost dead. Just use anything you can to finish him off Defeat Wiegraff To defeat Wiegraff at Riovanes Castle, become a monk and learn WAVE FIST, CHAKRA and MOVE-HP UP. A Bracer will help as well. Start out by getting as close to him as you can. Then use wave fist. He will then use Lightning Stab and run away. DON'T FOLLOW HIM. Run back to where you started and use chakra. He will then move to where he started. Now repeat all this until he's dead. Defeating Balk Balk is a difficult enemy to beat. At first glance, this battle in Murond Death City looks fairly simple: Balk is standing in the midst of four monsters (one of each of the following: Behemoth, Hyudra, Hydra, and Tiamat). You find out pretty quickly that this battle isn't going to be one of the easy ones. Here's my take on how to beat Balk and his crew of beasts. First, use the sword duping trick to make a number of "Excalibur" and "Save the Queen". Change Ramza's job to Knight if you don't have him there already, and equip both the swords stated above (must have the Two Swords ability from the Ninja job class [900 JP]). This will automatically put him in [Haste] and [Protect]. Have whatever ability you want for your secondary action ability. Use Blade Grasp for your Reaction ability, Two Swords for Support ability, and Move-HP UP for Movement. NOTE: This combination of abilities and items works well with ANY character, but you may not have spent enough time with everyone, having Ramza the only one capable. For the rest of my team, I included Mustadio as an Engineer (with Mythril Gun), Orlandu as Holy Swordsman (with Excalibur and Save the Queen if possible), Agrias as Holy Knight, and a Ninja. Equip the best armor you have (Reflect Armor works OK here). The Defense Armlet is the best accessory to have (so Balk can't use his Snipe skills on you), but Rubber Shoes (accessory) are useful when Balk tries to shoot you with his Lightning-aligned Blast Gun. Use whichever is handy, but equip the Defense Armlet(s) on your best character(s). Use Mustadio's "Snipe" ability on the monsters to paralyze them. Pick each one off in turn with Ramza and the Ninja going up close with Two Swords, while Agrias and Orlandu get them with Lightning Stab (or the best skill you have). Note: You can just attack the Behemoth until its health is "Critical". It'll leave you alone. The three other monsters can hit you with their firey breath (and from fairly far away), so make sure you kill them off completely. You can't paralyze Balk, so you have to concentrate on surrounding him. He runs away easily and can hit you with his Blast Gun, so go after him quickly (once you've eliminated the monsters). Try to break his Blast Gun first with Orlandu's Hellcry Punch. After that, he's easy to defeat with ANY ally. Good luck! Duplicate Weapons Set the Ninja "Two Swords" skill on anyone. Equip a shield in their right hand, and the item you want duplicated in their left. Nnow go to a shop that sells the items you want duplicated, choose "BEST FIT" and buy them. Next, go to the formation screen and remove the items. You should now have two of the item you had in the left hand. For example, to duplicate Excaliber, go to Lionel castle's shop. You'll get a second Excalibur for only 10 gold! Easy Level Gain and Job Points Before you can do this you'll need to learn ACCUMULATE and (if possible) the JP-UP skill. You also need at least one monk with the CHAKRA skill for this to work. Walk across any green dot until you are attacked, then kill all but one enemy. Next, find five squares that form an + and are on the same height level. Have the monk stand in the center with all other characters in the adjacent squares. Use accumalte over and over and when your attacked just use chakra to gain back your health. Repeat as desired. Equipment Tip When fighting battles against other humans, be sure to check their equipment. Sometimes they have items not available in stores. Use a mediator to invite them into your party and strip them after the battle, or use a thief to steal their belongings. Gain 5 or more Levels in One Fight You know how you get exp with one hit? What if your character is so strong, it kills with one hit. What if you can hit someone over 20 times without your guidence and safely return home. What you need is a wizard, and an oracle or mediator. What you do is you turn your enemies into frogs. It is time consuming, but it is worth it. (You can increase chances by using oracle "pray faith." Once that is done. and I know this sounds weird, turn your strong character into a frog. Then with oracle or mediator, put him into berserk. This will allow him to fight on auto-battle without running away. Keep your character well healed. Move the rest of your characters far away from the fight. Frogs VS Frogs. Put them on auto battle in "Run like a rabbit" mode so they don't interfere. They shouldn't interfere. Leave it on over night. By morning that character will rise 5-10 levels, and have over 2000-5000 jp points. Get Cloud This tip must be done during Chapter Four. Not that you should have about six empty spaces in your formation screen before attempting this. Go to Zeltennia Castle and listen to the rumor called "Cursed Island" Buy a flower from Aeris at Zarghidas Trade City then go to Goug machine city with Mustadio. The screen will fade and go to a scene of Mustadio, Ramza and a steel ball. Go to the bar in Goland Coal City and listen to the rumor of the "Ghost of Colliery" After this, go to Lesalia Imperia and the screen should shown a scene of a bar. When you leave, invite Beowulf to join your party. Now that you have Beowulf, go to Goland Coal City and you will fight 4 battles here and save Reis. After you save Reis you will get a Zodiac Stone that will trigger the steel ball. Return to Goug Machine City again and add the Robot to your party. Now that you have the robot, go to Nelveska Temple. You will fight another robot kill him and you will recieve a stone that will bring Cloud to your world. Now go back to Goug Machine City and you will trigger the time portal machine and it will suck Cloud from the future bringing him to your world. Now go to Zarghidas Trade City and save Cloud from the thieves that are punking Aeris. Note: if this part didn't work make sure that you killed Dycerag and his Zodiac Soul Adramelk. When Cloud joins your party all he can do is defend and attack. You'll need to find his Materia Blade so that he can use all of his limit attacks from Final Fantasy VII. The Materia Blade is located in the Bervania Volcano. Set your party's on Move-Find Item Then go to the highest tall rock and go to the top of it. How to get the Chaos Blade On level nine of the Deep Dungeon you should fight a team of ninjas. Ready your CATCH ability.If you're lucky, one of the ninjas will throw a Chaos Blade at you. If you catch it you get to keep it! Immortal Female To have a female that cannot turn into a crystal or treasure box, you must have the Chantage perfume (stolen from Meliadoul in Chapter 4) and a character skilled as a ninja, or have a Vanish Mantle as an accessory. Put the Chantage perfume on any female character, and make sure the Ninja has the reaction skill of Sunken State (or equip him/her with the Vanish Mantle) Go into battle, and hit the Ninja until he uses Sunken State (unless he has a Vanish Mantle) then make your Ninja run away after it is transparent (not acting!) You will notice that your female character, after dying will be revived as soon as her AT reaches 100. This will happen every time she dies! It is better to have someone like Agrias use this technique! Instantly Kill Undead To instantly kill an undead (ghouls, skeletons, etc), simply throw them a Phoenix Down. You will never miss and they'll die instantly! Warning: When you kill undead this way a timer will appear. If you don't finish the game before the timer reaches 0 the undead will rise again. Mime Job The requirement for the job mime is level 8 item user, level 8 beginner knight, level 5 summoner, level 5 talker, level 5 Fu-sui-shi (Element user) and level 5 dragon knight. More Powerful Ramza For a more powerful Ramza, have him master the squire class then switch him to the ninja class and have him master that too. Then return him to the squire class and equip him with the two swords ability. Because of his special squire abilities he can wear heavy armor and helmets. Because of his natural H.P bonus in the squire class his max H.P should go up almost 100 H.P! This tip works best in late ch.3 to ch.4. NOTE: When you get T.G Cid at the end of the 3rd. chapter, duplicate his excalibur and put one in each of Ramza's hands. If he is at a good level and has a high attack power, he can attack for 350+ points of damage each hit! Raise Bravery Permanently When you reach chapter two, purchase the Square ability CHEER UP for Ramza. Once you've acquired it, go into battle and use it on everyone on your team. It will temporarily raise their BRAVE by 5 points, and provide a permanent 1-point increase. You can get your Brave up to 97. This works great if you have the Blade Grasp skill because the enemies will only have a three percent chance of hitting you! Ultimate Summon After beating the battle in the holy land of Myurond, go to the seaport Wo-jirius. Following an short event you can go into Dieve dungeon, and from the tenth floor of the basement you will be able to learn the ultimate summon (equivalent to Knights of the Round from FFVII.) Weigraf and Velius: Two Birds with One Stone! When you encounter Weigraf for the last time(just before he becomes Velius) you cankill him easily by following these instructions: Make sure Ramza is a Squire with two sword ability or a Ninja with HP Restore and the support skill Guts equipped. When you start the battle it's just you (Ramza) and Weigraff. Don't attack him, instead keep away from him and use Yell and Accumilate repeatedly when it's your turn. Eventualy this will raise your speed and level high enough that you don't have to worry about his Lightning Stab or Earth Slash attack. When you are getting 3 to 4 consecutive turns in a row (Check the AT list) wait until the beginning of the next cycle then attack. Your two-sword ability should kill Weigraff in one turn and Velius will be dispatched before anyone else even gets a turn. This should make what was the hardest battle in the game quite simple. Zodiac Stones Aries, acquired after defeating Wiegraf. Taurus, Found hidden in Goug Machine city. Gemini, acquired after beating Duke Elmdor in Limberry castle. Cancer, acquired after beating the steel giant. Libra, in the possession of thunder god Cid. Scorpio, acquired after vanquishing Draclau. Sagittarius, The high priest gives this stone to Meliadoul. Capricorn, Acquired after defeating Dycedarg. Aquarius, found in the deep coal mine in Goland. Pisces, given to Alma by Izlude while he was dying. Serpentarious, Elidibs has it in the last deep dungeon level. Leo, this stone is acquired by killing Vormav. Virgo, Altima possess the last stone in the Graveyard ofAirships.
Alternate Save Pictures The saved-game picture changes depending on what slot your game is saved in. Here's the complete list: FILE 1 : CLOUD FILE 2 : BARRET FILE 3 : AERIS FILE 4 : CAIT SITH FILE 5 : RED XIII FILE 6 : CID FILE 7 : TIFA FILE 8 : VINCENT FILE 9 : YUFFIE FILE 10 : RUFUS FILE 11 : TSENG FILE 12 : PRISICILLA FILE 13 : RUDE FILE 14 : DAIN FILE 15 : SEPHIROTH Ancient Forest To get to the Ancient Forest before disc 3, simply ride up the hill with a black, gold or green chocobo. Beta Materia When you first go to the Chocobo ranch you have to catch a chocobo to avoid the Midgarsorm. Well, I figured out a way to get the powerful Beta spell before the second disc. You need the Enemy skill materia, a Fire materia, and any elemental materia equipped on one person. Make sure the last two are on your armor! If you keep this character healed until Midgarsorm casts Beta you should be able to survive the spell. Then just finish him off. This is tricky to pull off but if done correctly you will be set for a LONG time. Cast Any Spell Three Times To cast three magic spells in one round, first equip someone with a Magic Materia + "All" Support Materia. You'll also need Barrier Materia with the Reflect spell learned. When you enter battle, cast Reflect on the entire party, (your party). Then cast the magic spell that was connected to the "All" Materia on YOUR party. Even though you casted the spell once, it will be reflected and returned to the enemy hitting for three times! And for the same price of the usual MP's. What's even better is that if you have W-Magic, you can cast that spell twice, or two different spells (both need to be connected to "All" Materia) hitting for six times!!! Chocobo Tricks While racing the chocobos, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 to increase your speed. To increase their stamina, hold R1 + R2. While choosing a chocobo to race, press L1, L2, R1, R2 or any direction to pan, zoom and rotate the chocobo you're viewing. Curse Ring While in Mideel (before it has been destroyed), go to the weapons shop and check the door in the back (the one that does not open.) Next, go to the shop on the hill with the man on the balcony. Walk behind him along the part of the balcony on the side of the shop until you here a rattling sound. Check the spot and you will get a key. Use the key on the door, and it will break off. The owner will ask what happened. Tell the truth and he will give you the curse ring. If you lie, he will not give it to you. It raises all of your stats, but puts the character on death sentance, but this can be countered with a Phoenix Down. Debug Mode NOTE: This code requires a GameShark. This code is by far the coolest thing you will ever see. First enter the code "8009A05C 0041" into your GameShark. Start-up FF7 with the first disk. Choose "New Game". Instead of the normal opening CG movie you will appear in a room filled with Japanese symbols. IMPORTANT! Turn off your Gameshark after you are in the room. Walking onto these symbols will transport you to other rooms where you can go to any point in the game, watch the CG movies, and gain a complete set of Materia among other things. You can also talk to the man in the bottom left corner to adjust other settings. Defeating Savior Sephiroth For this fight you will need: Knights of the Round, Zero Bahumut, and any other summons. Cure 3, Wall, "Mime", DeBarrier, Remedies and at least three Megaexlir's. Start out by casting Wall on your party, then cast DeBarrier to take away Sephiroth's wall. After this has been done throw everything you've got at him, use Mime to cause major damage. During the fight Sephiroth will levitate higher, signaling he's preparing to cast Super Nova. If you are above 1500 energy you should be alright,watch out for his Heartless Angel that will not kill you, but bring your health down to 1. Then use Megaexlirs. Keep up the endurance and Sephiroth shouldn't be to hard to beat. Easy AP Go to the forest outside of Meedeel. Walk around until you fight Head Hunters or Caterpillers. Equip Cloud with an Apocalipse sword and everyone with a Rune Armlet. If you fight a group of 4 Head Hunters you get 340 AP. Caterpillers and a group of 3 Head Hunters give you 240 AP. Equip as many 'ALL' and 'MAGIC PLUS'materia as possible in the sword and Rune Armlet. When mastered they are worth 1.4 million gil each. Easy Accessories Here's a way to get two very helpful accessories. Ribbon: To get a ribbon you must go into the crater and walk around until you fight a Master Tonberry (a mole creature with a rotating yellow star above its head.) Attack him a few times and then morph him. He will turn into a Ribbon. Tetra-Elemental: There is a small desert island in the south under the Western Continent. Land there with the Highwind or with a gold chocobo. Walk on the sand until you fight a small cactus man. Morph him a eh becomes a Tetra-Elemental. Note: I have had the best luck morphing with Yuffie simply because see deals 9999 HP damage each time. It may be a different case for you but Yuffie is usually the best morpher. Easy Life With this code, you can easily restore life while in battle without having to worry about anything happening. Enter a battle, and when your characters' health gets low, cast regenerate on him/her/them. Once the spell has been cast, open the Playstation lid and have someone cast a spell. With the lid open, the game won't be able to cast the spell, so the game will stop until you close the Playstation lid. Once the lid is closed, the game will function corectly and you can resume play. The trick to this code is that while the game is looking for the CD, the regenerate spell will still be working, so your life will fill up while nothing else happens! This code works great for some of the ultra tough bosses (Emerald and Diamond Weapon) because nothing else will happen while the lid is up. Easy Money If you want virtually unlimited money, here is a wonderful trick. As soon as you have mastered an "All" mateira, remove it and replace it with the new born one and sell the old one.This may seem like kind of a harsh comprimise, but each mastered "All" is 1.4 million gils! and scince they are so easy to master you will keep geting more and will never miss them. Sell one or two and you will never run out of money ever again! Easy Money, AP and Experience Go to the desert outside of the golden saucer and walk around for a while. Sooner or later a little cactus man will appear. You can't beat him with magic or weapons, but he can be defeated by summoning Chocobos or Mogs. If you manage to kill him he's worth 10,000 gil! For better results, head for the Mideel Area (an island in the south) and look for Sea Worms. Each one you defeat is worth 1300 EXP, 200 AP and 5000 gil! Effortless GP Gain To do this trick, you need a joystick controller with rapid-fire settings and access to the Gold Saucer. Go to Wonder Square, and up to the arm-wrestling game. Wrap a rubberband around your joystick so that it's pulled to the upper left diagonal, so that Cloud continuously walks into the arm-wrestling machine but not into the GP-trading girl. Now, turn on the rapid-fire for the 'O' button. Cloud will now repeatedly challenge and beat the wrestling game. Slowly but surely, your GP will increase. It takes a while, so it's probably best to set this up just before you go to bed at night, and leave it on while you sleep. By morning, you should have plenty of GP to buy your Gold Pass and the two secret Materia: XP-Plus and Gil-Plus. Cheater! Fast Materia Level-Ups This cheat can only be done in the third disc. First, go to the Northern cave and look for mole like creatures with a star above thier heads, also holding a knife and a lantern. Steal an elixir from them and then run away. After that, look for these small creatures in a floating pot. They will say "Gimme' an elixer". Give them one. Then kill it. Each one killed will give you 1,000 AP. You can not kill them unless you give them an elixer. Gain Limit Breaks Easily When in normal status use a "Hyper." This will let your limit meter go up faster, so you can use your old techniques more. The reason for this is that one way to get your limit breaks gained is to use your old techniques. WARNING: When you use the "Hyper," your status changes to "Fury," which will lessen your hit rate. Another way to gain your limit breaks is to defeat large groups of enemies. Try this: When leaving the Nibel Mountains and heading for Rocket Town, you should see a group of forests when you leave the mountains. Try engaging combat there, because sometimes you fight large groups of enemies there. Such as a group of six "Battery Caps," or sometimes five "Battery Caps" and one "Valron." This might help in getting your limit techniques also. Huge Materia To obtain the Huge Materia in Rocket Town, press Circle, Square, X, X as the passcode. There are four huge Materia that can reproduce other materias if you can pass the requirements. Blue - You must have Bahamut and Bahamut Neo. Take these to Cosmo Canyon and talk to the Blue Huge Materia and you will recieve Bahamut Eishiki (Zero). Yellow - Master the Steal, Throw, Mime, Manipulate, Morph, Deathblow and Sense Materias, then talk to the yellow huge Materia to recieve the Master Command materia. Red - Must have all 16 summoning materia at master level then talk to the red huge materia to recieve the Master Summoning materia. Green - Have all 21 magic materia at master level then talk to the green huge huge materia and you will recieve the Master Magic materia. Item Duplication If you have the W-Item Materia, equip it and enter battle. Use the W-Item command and select your first item you want to use with the Circle button. Then choose your second item but do not use it. Select it so that cursors appear on the screen (either on you allies or your enemies) then cancel with the X button. Select again and make the cursor appear then cancel. Repeat the selecting and canceling of the second item over and over. Each time you do this the quantity of the first item will increase by 1. Knights of the Round Table Ride the Golden Chocobo to the North-Eastern part of the map. There you'll find a hidden island with a cave. Enter the cave and talk to the red light to receive the "Nights of the Round Table" spell. Limit Break Manuals To learn Level 4 limit breaks you'll need to find the manuals. Here's how to find them. Cloud: Trade 32,000 battle points at the Golden Saucer. Tifa: Go to Nibel area (Tifa's house) and play these piano notes: X, Square, Triangle, L1/R1 + Triangle, L1/R1 + Square, X, Square, Triangle, L1/R1 + X, O, X, Square, X. Then press START and search the music sheet to find Tifa's Limit break. Barret: A lady will give it to you in North Coral. Aeris: Southeast of Midgar there is a small cave with a man living there. Talk to him when you have battled a certain number of battles that end in the same number, such as 122, 133, 144. He will then give you a Mithril orb. Take the Mithril to the Blacksmith's house on the south peninsula near Cosmo Canyon. He will trade you for the limit break manual for the Mithril, or you can choose to have a gold bracelet. Red XIII: In the Nibel area there is a mansion and on the second floor of this mansion there is a safe. To crack this code turn right 36, left 10, right 59, and right 97. Then the safe will open to reveal a miniboss.Kill the miniboss and you will recieve Red VIII's Manual. Vincent: Land near the waterfall and use the green, black, gold chocobo or the submarine to pass the mountain. Then enter the waterfall. (You must have Vincent in your group and must be done first in disc 2) go forward and it will show Vincent's past. Then leave. Return if you are already in disc three and you'll get not only the manual but a weapon of Vincent. Cid: Cid's manual is in one of the chests in the sunken plane. Yuffie: Go to Wutai and enter the tower with yuffie and let yuffie beat all the bosses including her father and you'll get a manual and Leviathan materia. Limited Immortality Connect the Phoenix Summon and Final Attack materia in any linked slot. When your party dies, there Hitpoints will be completely restored. This makes killing Ruby, Emerald, and Sephiroth simple, just make sure you have enough Mindpoints to use the Phoenix Summon. For more punch, add a Final Attack/Knight of the Round Table to the same weapon. Then when you die you'll resurrect and hit back HARD. NOTE: This method is limited because you can only use Phoenix materia 5 times. Morph Enemies Easily For an easy way to morph enemies, have W-Magic Materia, Gravity Materia + "All" Materia, and Morph Materia. Have someone else cast Reflect on the party, then have the person with W-Magic use Demi 3 on your party twice. It will reflect and hit the enemy six times without killing it, but will greatly reduce it's HP's. At this point, you can easily morph it. Prevent Back Attacks If your battle starts with a "Back Attack" hold L1 and R1 for a moment then release them. This will turn you around before your opponents get a shot. Racing Trophy When racing S-class in the Gold Saucer, You will notice many keen items you can't ever seem to get. Well you can get them all at once! Just win 15-20 races in a row! Ester will say "I've never seen anyone win so much in S-class before!" She will then give you one of each item, including the coveted Cat's Bell! this trick only works once, though. Re-enter Midgar It is possible to get back into Midgar after you have left (not including by parachute.) On disc 3, go back to Midgar and talk to the man standing outside the fence. He says he has misplaced his key and that it is probably back at the dig site he just left. To find the key, go to Bone Village and tell the foreman you want to look for Normal Treasure. Place some of the workers up top in front of the tent and set off the blast. They will point to a spot on the ground, so have them dig there overnight. In the morning open the treasure chest and you should have the Key to the Sector 5 Slums. Now go back to Midgar and go through the gate. Go back to Wall Market and go to the shop where the item machine was broken before (the one that shot at you), and try to use it now. You will recieve Tifa's ultimate weapon. Recover Missing Items Did you miss something important? Fear not. Once you get to disc 3 you can recover anything by excavating for it in the Bone Village. Recruit Vincent In the Shinra mansion at Nibbhiem, there is a safe on the top floor. The combination is: Right to 36, Left to 10, Right to 59 then Right to 97. Make sure you don't go to far left or to far right when turning. When it opens kill the monster, then get the stuff in the safe. Descent the spiral staircase and into the coffin room. Vincent is in one of the coffins. Talk to him and leave then come back and talk to him and he will join you. Recruit Yufie Near the exploded Mako site there is a small forest. Wonder around in it until you fight a ninja woman. After you defeat her there will be a save point. DO NOT USE THIS or she will run away. Talk to her and tell her you don't want to fight her again. Then tell her your terrified of her. When she asks if you need her help, say "Yes" then tell her that you're leaving and don't ask for her name. Alternatively, try this. Equip the Enemy Away Materia which can be won in the Gold Saucer Chocobo Racing and a Luck Plus Materia. Go into any forests and wait for a while. Note that the Enemy Away Materia must be at Master Level for a higher percentage of chances to encounter Yuffie. Reset Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Select + Start to reset the game. Special Battle To get to the URA battle (special battle) in the Battle Arena, first gain 64000 battle points and buy the W-Summon materia. Next get 32,000 battle points and buy Cloud's level 4 limit, Omnislash. Equip Omnislash and talk to the lady at the counter in the battle arena, and she will ask you if you want to participate in a special battle. Beat all 8 enemies and get the Final attack materia. Note: You must have your Ultimate Weapon equiped to fight in the special battle. Special Cinema After Cloud rejoins your party in the second disk, visit the Shinra Mansions Basement again in Nimbelheim entering the library. Cloud will suddenly flash back to a special cinematic scene of how you will find out how cloud ended up with his friend Zack's sword. Time Attack Contest At the golden saucers wonder square there is a snowboard game. If you get a good rating on the beginner, expert and crazy course the next time you play there you will see a yellow balloon. Grab it and you will enter time attack mode. In this mode there are no balloons or obstacles and you go extremely fast. Unlimited Sources To get unlimited Sources (luck source, magic source, etc.) perform the following actions. Get in the submarine and go to the downed plane. Wander around until you get into a battle and use the morph command on the enemies. The best way to do this is attack the enemies until they are almost dead and then use morph. In this area there are six different enemies and each one morphs into one of the six sources.
GF Boost If you have a GF who has learned "Boost," this trick will work. While your GF is about to appear on the screen, hold down "Select" and you should see a hand pointing a finger on the "Square" button and a number next to it. Keep holding "Select" and rapidly hit "Square" This will raise that number which means more damage to the enemy. But make sure you stop when an X appears over the hand. If you don't, the number will start back at the beginning. Wait for the X to go away and repeat the process. The higher the number reached, the more damage caused. GF Locations In FF8 there are 22 Guardian Forces (and quasi-GFs) you should get. They are: QUETZALCOTL: From Squalls computer in the classroom at the beginning of the game. DIABLOS: Summon him using the Magic Lamp given to you by Cid after completing your Exam. After Summoning him you must defeat him. He is VERY difficult. Save before you fight him. CARBUNCLE: Draw from Gargoyle/Lizard bosses in Deling during Parade. LEVIATHAN: Draw from NORG in Balamb Garden. Make sure you draw from NORG and not the pods. PANDEMONA: Draw from Fuujiin in Balamb Town. CERBERUS: Fight and Defeat him in Galbadia Garden. ALEXANDER: Draw from Edea at the end of Disc 2. DOOMTRAIN: Get Item "Solomons Ring" from Tears Point before Lunatic Pandora is summoned. (A good time to get this Item is right before when you are supposed to meet Dr. Odine at the Launch Pad). Once getting this item "Mug" Marlboros outside the Sorceress Shrine until you have 6 Marlboro Tentacles (Marlboros are also at the Island Closest to Heaven) Then buy 60 Remedies and use Alexanders "Med Lev Up" Skill to make 6 Remedy+'s. Next you need 6 Iron Pipes. These can be "Mug"ed from the Yellow/Green Monkey enemy outside Deling. If you don't have these and you can't get back to Deling you may have to wait until after you have the Ragnarok to get them. After getting all the Items (6x Remedy+'s, 6x Iron Pipes, 6x Marlboro Tentacles and 1x Solomon Ring) use the Solomon Ring from the Item Menu and you will receive DOOMTRAIN. BAHAMUT: Defeat him at the Galbadia Underground Research Facility. It is located in the South-West corner of the map. It is in the middle of the Ocean. To fight him you must talk to machine (Walk when the light is off) then pick the first answer for the first question, second answer for the second and the third answer (It's hidden) for the third question. You will then fight Bahamut. CACTUAR: Fly to Cactuar Island in the South-East section of the world and run into the giant Cactus that you see going up and down. You must then defeat Giant Cactuar. TONBERRY: Go to the Centra Ruins (After recieving Odin, see below) and fight 20 Tonberries. After defeating the 20th (or so) the King Tonberry will come. Defeat him and Tonberry will join your team. EDEN: Draw from Ultima Weapon in Galbadia Underground research Facility. To get to Ultima you must defeat Bahamut first (see above). The following GFs are non-drawable. You must either use Items to call them (Pheonix and Chochobo) Or they appear randomly (Odin and Gilgamesh). I'm not sure how Mumba and MiniMog are used since I don't have a pocketstation. But I believe that you use items to call them as well CHOCOBO: Catch and name a Chocobo then use Item Gysahl Greens during Battle PHOENIX: Use Item Phoenix Pinion during battle. ODIN: Defeat him in Centra Ruins. Appears randomly at the beginning of battles. GILGAMESH: Receive Odin before the end of Disc 3 and Seifer will kill him. Gilgamesh then show up to replace him. MINIMOG: (POCKETSTATION NEEDED) Receive Minimog during "Chocobo Adventure" PocketStation Minigame. MUMBA: (POCKETSTATION NEEDED) Defeat "Chocobo Adventure" PocketStation Minigame Infinite Items with a Pocketstation If you have Final Fantasy 8(US), a Pocketstation and a Memorycard, you can use the Pocketstation game Chocobo World to get Infinite Items. Just do the following: 1. Download the Chocobo World game from Final Fantasy 8 onto your Pocketstation, (Downloaded after you have caught a Chocobo.) 2. Start playing through Chocobo World, collecting as many items as you can. 3. Once you have the items you want plug the Pocketstation and the Sony Memorycard into your Playstation, go to the internal memory card manager and save Chocobo World into the Sony Memorycard (Warning: it takes 7 blocks of memory to store) 4. Start playing your Final Fantasy 8 game with the file that you have caught a chocobo with, go to the game menu and choose, get to the menu. You can then transfer the items into your FF8 game, choose the option to take Boco(the character you play Chocobo World with) home, which also lets you transfer all the items you have collected in the Pocketstation game into the Final Fantasy 8 game, and then choose the option to send Boco into the Pocketstation game again. NOW, get to the option on the Final Fantasy 8 game to see all the item you got from the Pocketstation. 5. Now comes the Infinite Item part of this cheat. Get to the Memorycard Menu again, but this time copy the Chocobo World files that are inside the Sony Memorycard back into your Pocketstation, and then do step 4 (transferring items into FF8) over and over again to, finally, get Infinite Items. Note : you can do this to get 16 or more MiniMog abilities for all your G.F.s to use, just find MiniMog inside the Pocketstation game and then just do the transferring cheat mentioned again to do it over and over. Quicker Attack Bar Go to the screen with Junctions, Items, and save, But those you don't want, you want to go to the cofiguation screen (Down at bottom of Icon screen). When you get to this screen you will see some blue lines make all of them read fast. After doing so go fight a battle and the little line for your attacks will be super fast and so will your GFs lines. Quicker Limit Breaks When your health is low you will not always get a limit break. To ensure that you do wait for the target character's turn and hit O repeativly. GF Boost If you have a GF who has learned "Boost," this trick will work. While your GF is about to appear on the screen, hold down "Select" and you should see a hand pointing a finger on the "Square" button and a number next to it. Keep holding "Select" and rapidly hit "Square" This will raise that number which means more damage to the enemy. But make sure you stop when an X appears over the hand. If you don't, the number will start back at the beginning. Wait for the X to go away and repeat the process. The higher the number reached, the more damage caused. Jump up on stage get the posters and walk towards the far wall on the stage. Walk up and down there a bit until you get a life. Now jump down off the stage and walk to the top right corner of the bar. Punch the dog standing there. By doing this you can now go back onto the main street instead of going into the back streets. TIP: Always check in places you can't see. There's always a life or some other goods hidden in dark corners.
Attract Fish When the title screen comes up hit triangle, X, O, Square, up, down, left, right if you use the code corredtly you will hear a splash then just fish and catch all the fish you want! Total Count List At the title screen, press Up(2),Down(2),L1,R1,L1,R1,X,Circle,Start. Then, enter the "Options" screen and press Select to display a "Total Count List" that shows how many game played, line breaks, fish count, and types of fish caught.
