| My date of birth is October 7, which I guess would make me a Libra in the astrological world. I don't know how many other people in the world share my birthday, but I seriously doubt they are exactly like me. But, let's assume that all of us born between September 23 and October 22 did share certain characteristics in common; who are we supposed to listen to. There are literally thousands of horoscope providers out there so who do we trust? Below, I have listed three different horoscopes for my sign, Libra, from the same day. A casual reading of these will show that they do not even agree with each other. Each astrologer has something different to say to me, but I thought that being a Libra, there should be a unique forecast for me and others that share my sign. Of course, there is not. Not only do these horoscopes not agree with each other, they don't tell you what's going to happen to you; they tell you what you should do. I could get that same kind of advice from my mother. How so many people could take this nonsense seriously is beyond me. There is just no way that a planet in the solar system could affect who we are. That astrology is bunk, nonsense and foolishness is a foregone conclusion to anyone that has bothered to seriously check it out, but many have not and continue to buy into this fraud to the tune of millions of dollars a year. We must continue to fight such fairytales and introduce people to the joy and wonder of astronomy, and not the trash that is astrology. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
