“Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.”    Revelation 14:12

Unless God’s laws are in our minds and written upon our hearts we are not God’s people.  That is unless it is written upon our hearts “You shall not steal,” “You shall not murder,” “Remember the Sabbath day,” etc we are not the children of God but the children of the devil.  We have not been born again and have no hope of heaven.  “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”  Acts 3:19.
Some mistakenly think that conversion is a once in a lifetime experience but this is clearly not Biblical.  The apostle Paul said “I die daily” and in another place “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.”  1 Corinthians 10:12.  We obviously can fall away from God and therefore need to die daily to our sins.  Each new morning we need to give ourselves to God and ask for strength to overcome and to live a true Christian life for that day. “Thus say the Lord, “Keep justice, and do righteousness, for My salvation is about to come, and My righteousness to be revealed.  Blessed is the man who does this; and the son of man who lays hold on it; who keeps from defiling the Sabbath and keeps his hand from doing any evil.” Isaiah 56:1, 2.
Only holy people can truly keep the Sabbath holy.  Here is where the Jews failed they sought to keep the Law of God by the works of the flesh.  Many of them failed to see that only through the Spirit of God could they keep the law.  Unless we are loving and kind our obedience before God is worthless.  Without the Spirit of God working in our hearts our works are in vain.  God wants a people that have the Spirit and the truth, people who, motivated by pure love, implicitly obey Him.
To be holy is to be like God for God is holy.  It is the law of the Bible and of life that by beholding we become changed.  It is only by beholding Jesus through His word, nature, and personal experience that we become holy.  The Seventh day Sabbath, or Saturday, is a holy and special 24 hour period from sunset Friday evening to sunset Saturday night (Genesis 1:5,31; 2:1-3.) in which we are called to spend time worshipping and meditating upon our precious Lord, Redeemer, and Creator.  It is the day all the ancient Bible heroes, the followers of Christ, and apostles observed along with all who down through the ages have shown themselves loyal the King of kings, who is the Creator of heaven and earth. “This is the day that the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it!”  Psalm 118:24.
It is true that many true Christians down through the ages have ignorantly kept the 1st day Sunday and that many are doing so now.  But this does not change the truth of God.  The apostate Roman Church who fell away from her allegiance to God instituted Sunday worship as the
official worship day for the church.  This was Satan’s attack against God hitting straight at the heart of the Divine Government, His Holy Law.  Let none be deceived, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8.  His Law, His Word, and His Love endure forever.  Let all true Christians show their allegiance to God by repentance, faith, and (with the power that comes through Christ) obedience to God’s Law, which includes the joyful remembrance, and solemn celebration of the seventh day Sabbath! (Which is Saturday not 1st day-Sunday.)
Some may still object and say, “Does not the Bible say, ‘Let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival, or a new moon, or sabbaths?”  If the reader would continue reading, the Bible explains itself. “which are a shadow of things to come; but the substance is of Christ.” Colossians 2:16,17.  The festivals, new moons, and sabbath days here mentioned were tied together with the sacrificial system and its varies laws and rituals
. See 2 Chronicles 8:12,13.  Christ was the substance of these things.   We no longer have to offer animal sacrifices, or  meat and drink offerings through an early priesthood on any of these days like was formally required..  Christ is our Sacrifice and Substitute. The entire sacrificial system or ceremonial law “the handwriting of ordinances” was nailed to the cross.  These things only pointed forward to Christ and when He came they were no longer needed. But the Royal Law, the Ten Commandments, written on stone with the 7th day Sabbath never can nor ever will be changed.  The life and death of Christ proves both immutable. As long as He is King His Law stands unchangeable.
Universal Sunday worship came about centuries after the time of Christ and His apostles and is never sanctioned in the word of God.  Study this out-in the Bible and in history-for yourself-it is all there!  It is true that this evil begin early but that does not prove it to correct and good.  Their was the antichrist spirit in the very days of the Apostles.  See 1 John 4:3.   Listen to Christ quoting from the prophet Isaiah, “These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.  And in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of Men.”  Matthew 15:8,9.
“There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.” “For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: ‘And God rested on the seventh day from all His works.’ ” Hebrews 4:9,4.  We who believe do enter that rest.  Rejoice all you peoples and “…worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.” Revelation 14:7  “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter.  Fear God and keep His commandments.  For this is man’s all.” And let us do so with joy!     Ecclesiastes 12:13.  May God richly bless you.
The gospel is the power of God not only to grant us forgiveness over our sins but power to fully keep the Ten Commandment Law.  Will you deny the power of the gospel?  It is a life or death issue.
