You & Me A FanFic based on Ranma ½ By Kris Thompson This is a work of fiction based on Rumiko Takahashi's 'Ranma Nibun no Ichi' a.k.a. Ranma ½ and was created for the author's personal enjoyment. ::You may touch me in dreams but they don't stay.:: Akane walked down the school halls. The last class of the day had just finished. ::Today you don't have much to say.:: She walked to her locker and worked the combination until it opened, then she dumped her books inside. ::How am I gonna face the light of day?:: Akane shut the door, hearing the lock click. ::What have I done now?!:: She sighed. "Hey, Akane!" She turned to see Ranma walking down the hall and came up to her. ::Things that we leave unspoken, thinking it's for the best.:: "Hi, Ranma," Akane said, smiling. ::Then I look into your eyes it gets tight in my chest.:: "Ranma Darling!" Kodachi called out. ::Hear the river it tells of our good byes.:: "Hey Kodachi, take a hike." Ranma told the gymnast. ::It's late and they don't wait for me.:: Kodachi bowed, seeming to cooperate for once. "What ever my Darling wishes." Then she bounded off. "Ready to go home?" Ranma asked. ::Sayonara, and whispers on the breeze.:: "Sure" Akane answered. ::I'll get in trouble.:: They both walked out into the schoolyard. ::Let me know what in your heart. That a good place to start.:: "How was your day?" Akane asked. ::All I need is a small part and I give my heart to you.:: "It was okay. You?" Ranma asked as the walked through the school gates. "Good." Akane walked on the sidewalk as Ranma continued his walk on the fence. There was a long moment of silence. ::You and me have still got, so much we need to say. 'Friends' is not enough, why can't we seize the day?:: "Hey, are you going to do some training later today?" Akane asked suddenly. "Uh, I don't think so. Why?" Ranma continued walking. ::Don't know I got no idea, from this point on.:: Akane barely blushed. "No reason." Later that night, Akane climbed out on the roof and found Ranma there. "Hey." He said, not looking to her. "Hey. What are you doing?" Akane asked him. "Lookin' at the stars; Wanna join me?" He looked up at her.
