Spring Exhibition

Swarthmore, Mutley Plain

19 April 2008 - 3 May 2008


 

Call for entries

The exhibition will take place at the Swarthmore Centre. Mutley Plain from

Saturday 19th April to Saturday 3rd May 2008.

Handing-in day Handing-in will take place on Saturday 19th April from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Swarthmore Centre.

Collection of unselected works

All unselected works must be collected between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on the same day (Swarthmore is not able to store unselected works).

Sales of original work

Sales made during the exhibition will be dealt with by the Club appointed Steward and marked with a red spot. Removal of work from the walls is not normally allowed until the end of the exhibition.

Promoting the exhibition and selling copies

This year artists can choose to allow their work to be displayed in the PAC Spring Exhibition space of the Ogallery.Org website. They may also allow the Ogallery.Org website to offer copies of their work in the form of a greetings card. For every card sold by Ogallery.Org the Club and Artist will each receive a royalty of 50p. Artists may donate their royalty to the Club.

Closing of exhibition The exhibition will dose at 12 noon on Saturday 3rd May 2008

Collection of sold works by purchasers and collection of unsold works by exhibitors

All sold and unsold works must be collected on the last day of the exhibition Saturday 3rd May 2008 between 12 noon and 2 p.m.

Stewarding

Stewarding is necessary to safeguard the exhibition and deal with enquiries and purchases. A stewarding roster will be available at the Swarthmore Centre on handing-in day. Everyone submitting will be expected undertake at least TWO SESSIONS or arrange for another club member to do them on their behalf. Swarthmore reception does not do our stewarding for us!

Plymouth Arts Club

SUMMER PROGRAMME 2008

The Plymouth Arts Club is based in the Swarthmore Centre on Mutley Plain. Sessions are from 2pm to 4pm and charged at £4 unless shown otherwise. With the exception of some demonstrations and workshops, members are encouraged to paint / draw using whatever medium they wish, i.e., mixed-media, oil, acrylic, watercolour, gouache, pastels, charcoal - whatever! Guests are welcome and will be charged the same as members. There is no charge for the outdoor meetings, members to make their own arrangements with regard to meeting up with fellow club members.
