Other Ways To Help Worthy Causes
~Buying products through the above banner helps support this site.~
Here are some other ways to help worthy causes!
Charity Banner and
Digital Donation
let you earn money for charity by viewing banners on an ad bar that you download.
Make your web searches count by using Get Well Child* and/or Search To Help.
All advertising revenue from Click A Cure* goes to the fight against cancer.
At Care2, "every click, every purchase, helps save the environment!"
A tiny download at Pennypal attaches a signature file to your email that generates revenue for your favorite cause. Works with your existing email account. (Thanks, Adam Wynne!)
At My Points, you accumulate points that you can reedem for rewards to keep for yourself or give to charity (no download needed). I've gotten $35 worth of gift certificates from Barnes and Noble so far!
Get rid of clutter in your house and help worthy causes at the same time:
Your pop can tabs can benefit Ronald McDonald House- get more information by going to The Pop Tab Collection Program.
Your magazines (less than three months old) can be mailed to ReREAD.

These sites donate a percentage of the money you spend buying their products to charity:
The Baby Einstein Company sells videos, musical recordings, DVDs, books, flash cards and puppets designed to help stimulate the brains of babies and young children. My niece (born 4-10-00) loves these videos, especially Baby Bach. Trust me, it's not like this company advocates shoving calculus down a baby's throat. The videos are interesting, no pressure fun times for babies-but you really have to watch one to understand. They're hard to explain. I just know my niece actually brings the videos to us for us to play, then stands transfixed as she watches. I really recommend shopping from this company, because they not only have great products, but they also donate to Ronald McDonald House, The Autism Society of America, and The Blind Babies Foundation, among other places. See the site for a complete list.
NARSAD Artworks sells beautiful "Museum-Quality Art Products by and on Behalf of Mentally Ill Persons". These include note cards, holiday cards, and other gifts. NARSAD stands for "National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression", and a link to that site is included on the shopping site.
Shopirish.com sells many, many Irish-themed products-too many to list here! If you are Irish, have any interest in Ireland at all, or are just looking for Saint Patrick's Day products, check out this site. Proceeds go to the The Irish Children's Fund-you'll find more details on the site itself. I personally consider it a unique and very worthy cause.
Something Fishy sells original cd's and other assorted products. One dollar from each sale is used to help increase awareness of eating disorders.
Tweezerman sells high quality grooming aids such as tweezers, cuticle pushers, and other manicure and pedicure aids for men, women, and children. Donations are made to many charities, including among other things, BBSI's Aids Relief Fund, The March of Dimes, and St. Jude's Children's Hospital. A complete list can be found on their site under "about us".
Zappos: The Red Cross Link. Zappos is a shoe store that sells dress, casual, and athletic shoes for men and women. When you access their site through this special link, all profits go to the Red Cross.
The following sites are set up like malls with many kinds of shops:
Charity Mall and I Give offer many various charities to choose from.
At Shop2Bless, profits from your shopping can benefit the church or other charitable organization of your choice.
At SchoolPop, those profits go to a school of your choice.
Working Families has resources that help support unions and
union workers and includes products to buy that are made by
union workers-no sweatshop products here! Not exactly a "charity" site, but a great way to know for sure that the money you spend is benefiting someone.
Sesame Street and
PBS
use some of the money you spend buying videos, toys, etc., to fund quality programming.

If you know of any other sites that belong on this page, please let me know. You can find out how to email me on the main page. If anyone shows an interest in adding a favorite cause to a list to send donations directly to, I will set up another page for that purpose. Just let me know!
Thanks very much for your desire to help those in need. I sincerely hope that what you give comes back to you if you have a time of need.
