The scheduled activity last July 1999 was the beach landing,
I mean beach camping at Camp Del Mar beach campground, at Camp Pendleton, CA.; Friday, 16 July 99 to Sunday, 18 July 99.
LVTH-6 welcomes you to Camp Del Mar.
The Pathfinder(local host) for the activity was Tony Acasio.
There was also a visit to the "Amtrack" Museum at the Amphibous Armor School across the estuary at Camp Del Mar beach.
A restored LVT3C at the museum is representative of the first Amtrack that the Philippine Marines recived. The only example of this vehicle in the Philippines is at the Philippine Military Accademy, Relics Point in Baguio City.
The next Amtrac the Philippine Marines received in the 1970s is represented by this LVTP-5 outside the Amphibious Armor School.
