My name is Lauren Winkler and I have been affiliated with PMEA for two years now. Last year, I participated in All-State Band (7th chair), attended Carnegie Mellon University's Pre-College Music Program, and am now involved in PMEA Band, Orchestra, and Chorus, recently qualifying to All-State Orchestra with the highest score in the state.  I am a high school senior hoping to pursue clarinet and information systems next fall. Each year, my school requires that I do a long term (30-hour or more) project on any topic, and I have chosen to create a website for District 1. In this site, I will be including lists of participating musicians, chair placements, pictures, and mp3 sound files of music from each festival.
