Paralysis

Paralysis: An affliction in which abnormalities in the nervous system lead to partial or total loss of sensation in certain parts of the body. In cats, paralysis can be caused by calcium deficiency, which leads in turn to decalcification of the bones, fractures, a broken spinal column with lesions in the spinal cord, or by a cerebral hemorrhage. Immediate treatment is necessary.
