I really believe that we are all here for a purpose. I don't think that everyone knows, or will ever know what their purpose truely is, but most times, that is because we are too busy living life that we forget to LIVE.
My Grandmother used to tell me, when I was a young child, that the older we get, the faster life goes by. She is gone now, and I have learned what that comment meant. As a child, we are so busy just playing and enjoying the simple things. We are so young and innocent. We can't wait to "grow up" and to the big people things. Then, we grow up. We are so busy doing everything that the world and society expects us to do that we lose sight what life is really about, stopping to smell the flower, saying hi to a neighbor, hugging your children, throwing ball with the dog. As we get older and look back at life, we sit and wonder where all the time has gone. Life is too short, no matter if you live to 1 or 100. Don't take every day for granted. We never know when God will call us home. Stop and smell that flower, stop and say hello to your neighbor, play with the dog, say hi to that person sitting all alone in the park...and for GOODNESS SAKE..HUG YOUR CHILDREN.. Don't let them find out too late what that it means when we say "the older you get, the faster life goes by."
