Welcome to our homepage. As many of you may already know, Steve and I have adopt a little girl from China. We traveled to China the first two weeks of September 2003 to go get our daughter. Her Chinese name was Yuan Zhan Min and her Chinese nickname was Min Min. We gave her a new name when we adopted her which reflects both her new American life and her Chinese heritage. Her name is now Emilie Mae Zhanmin. On the following pages, we have tried to present the timeline and process and give as much information as we possibly can about our adoption journey to get Emilie. Since we have brought Emilie home, we have had trouble finding the time to complete this information, but will try to do so as time allows: Who knows, maybe our information can be of some help to others who are going through the same process. Or even serve as a way of getting others interested in international adoption and give a loving home to a child who would otherwise not have a home or a family to call their own. We hope to travel to China for another little girl to be our second daughter and a mei mei (little sister for Emilie.)
